It needs to be seen what is the percentage of increase for the PNC, based on AFC's efforts.

DG:

* We know that the best the PNC ever performed in terms of percentage in a free and fair election was the 42.3% they got in the 1992 election.

* You are absolutely correct---anything beyond 42.3% would be the AFC contribution.

Within a day, we should be able to see the direction of the polls,

These incidents do cause concerns, when indeed the elections should be a peaceful one.

While it is too early for an indication of the outcome, it is conceivable that based on preliminary - unofficial - results, individuals are realising that the PPP/C will emerge as the winner in this election.

We made it. The PPP has won!

If the elections met the same target as before, how can PPP win? Last I checked, they were a minority Govt

Shaitaan,

You picked the better of the two evils as the winner (PPP).

Both parties have to end this racism crap so that Guyana can move forward.  PPP will never win another election based on race again.

We must now put shoulders together to end racism in Guyana. Let us fight the PPP to become transparent and dig out the corrupt dawgs in the PPP. The PPP must include Afros as equals for a better Guyana.

Many closed their noses and voted PPP over the PNC. If only the PNC had offer an apology for the past misdeeds and stop calling Indos racists.........

Black people have no interest in listening to the PPP.  NOT after Kwames antics today.

IF the PPP won it will be up to the PPP to prove that they aren't a black hating thoroughly racist party.  Their campaign was a disgusting demonization of Afro Guyanese.  They should NOT expect any cooperation from them until they make amends.

Carib,

It has been reported that Kwame just visited the voting station. It was his right to do so. Someone started a rumour, people were charged up and attacked him.

Let us be fair here.

Unless you reach out to others, we cannot end racism.

What would be an effective program to end racism in GY. This stuff is ingrained in students and youth, without adult involvement.

I picked the PPP because the PNC is a non-starter for any Indian.

The crucial factor was Moses and his AFC cult. Dem bais spent the campaign cussing down Indian people for their legitimate ethnic concerns. How de ass can such people be entrusted to represent "Indian interests" in Coalition when they can't even call demselves "Indian"?

"Indian" is apparently a dirty word to the AFC so for this reason the AFC cannot be presented as representing "Indian" interests. I am perfectly prepared to accept and support inter-ethnic alliances in Guyana. I'm not willing to support one peopled with Indians who ain't Indian (their words not mine) and who think cussin down Indian people as terrible Indo KKK racists is how to run a campaign.

Ha Ha !

Western countries and all election observers have declared that they elections were free and fair. The will make official pronouncements after the count is completed.

Is your PNC preparing for violence again ?

Violence will not be tolerated.

Lick your wounds.

Come morning....or tomorrow evening...the side that wins will only have done so by a mere percent point. This does not bode well for us. I hope it is the coalition only because they promise not to maintain the status quo and to put limits on the executive presidency. No party should completely dominate the society and create a virtual dictatorship on a few percentage points difference at the polls.

LET ME TELL YOU RACIST DOG, YOU HAVE BEEN INSULTING BLACK PEOPLE FOR YEARS. WE WILL NOT REACH OUT TO YOU.

Kwame INJURED AND ATTACKED BLACKS LAST ELECTION, USING HIS CAR AS A WEAPON, AND WAS NOT PUNISHED.  THE PPP GUNNED DOWN BLACKS IN LINDEN.

IF YOU WANT NATIONAL UNITY YOU RACIST DOGS GO AND EARN IT!
