Banna where is the denegration,from day one reading some of the cases Wendell cracked i said this guy will send a message to the criminals.He brought back memory of some good friends of mine who were in the CID one of them relate to how he cracked the Moleson Creek murder.

Personally when i migrate in 1996,with two kids eldest was 17 my younger son was 7 yrs,we moved to Connecticut with the help of a friend after spending 3 wks in Queens[wanted to go back home did not like the area] ,too expensive to live there for proper housing.After 3 yrs we were able to own our home in a good town we were about 20 Indo Guyanese living there[will not state i am not the show off type] my younger son had great schooling,highly disciplined school system,drugs,racial slurs,you are out.

Bibi, with all due respect, why would the PPP openly ask for a blackman to be promoted in the Police Force, when as others have been saying that the PPP is a "coolie party". He is being paid to do a good job, which is what he claims he did. It is the solid evidence before a Court that will determine if he did a good job, Recent history has informed us that there are many cases thrown out of Guyana's Court because of lack of proper evidence.BTW, has the PPP ever openly advocated for an East Indian to be promoted in the GPF? This is a simple case of the PPP kissing the Blackman ass and the PPP will pay for it. This is the same reason why they lost the election. They will never learn.

Thank you for your fair comment. This guy testified at the Walter Rodney COI - I watched him during his testimony and he was as sloppy as a six year old kid. He made statements but could not back them up with any evidence saying that they were missing. The PPP is not seriously interested in balancing the GPF anf the GDF. I told them many moons ago that the problem lies in the hiring process. They have all the blackman sitting at all levels in the hiring process- when they screen all the applications, guess who they will call for interviews? And guess who will get the jobs? Do you think that they ever replied or took action? Nahi Sista! The PPP keep telling Indian people to apply and join the force when the bloody well know that they wouldn't be selected. Have you ever seen some of the Police they hired - dey rass can't even run fast for two minutes.

I don't think the forces will ever balance as Afros have a greater affinity to the military/paramilitary front than do Indians.  What the leadership [all parties] in Guyana needs to do is develop/agree a model which ensures the armed forces are free of political interference in their official duties.

With regard to who is promoted, we should not follow some affirmative action model.  I believe promotions should be based on a balance of performance, character and formal training/education.

Even as an Indian, I do not support promotion of an Indian over a better qualified and accomplished Black just for the racial feed good factor.  I know Black police officers who are as concerned for the lives and safety of Indians as much as Blacks.
