And why are they telling people that Campbelville was ever a PNC stronghold.
The PPP won in majority Indo parts of GT. Those areas went over to the AFC in 2015 and have now returned home.
The PPP won only 25% of the GT vote.

I doubt he does. I see all the hype about these LGE, far cry from the National. However, the PPP recapturing from the AFC is notable! PNC rig machine already getting in gear.

Regardless of the election status, PPP make inroads into PNC support base .. Buxton is an example and they are not AFC supporters.
This election allows the main party to recognize their weekness and strength. It certainly builds PPP momentum going into 2020 election.. that’s a BIG plus.
For The PNC, they will view AFC differently, pressure will be mounted in Congress Place to renegotiate the Agreement and offer AFC less percentage base
The PPP has an opportunity now to negotiate with AFC, hopefully better sense prevail and PPP be more inclusive.

What stupidness you talking. Yes I was with the AFC for about a year and had some issues with them which I stated here umteen Times. One thing, I was never going to be part of any PNC coalition. I said umteen Times, an independent AFC was the best even if small.
And if I’m with the AFC, I will back them however, there are many off-record dynamics behind the scenes!

The only hope for the PNC is bolstering their base and expanding it to include younger voters. But their existing cast of characters are too arrogant to allow this.

I tell it as it is. Guyanese are less interested in voting. The PPP knows that the black/mixed will not vote because of their disappointment with the PNC. Jagdeo will pull the same tactics with the Indians/Amerindians as Trump does with working class whites. He knows his best bet is to take advantage of the fear that both Amerindians and East Indians have towards blacks.
Aside from taking pictures what proof is Jagdeo showing that he has changed. Has he apologized for the fact that the PPP didn't earn the trust of the black/mixed voters in their 23 years of power, and vow to do better next time? No. Still the same "black man stupid" mentality.

Forgive the old guys (both AFC and APNU). They starved under the PPP because Jagdeo only allowed them crumbs, so they saw this 5 years as a time to "top up". Ignoring their own base and not mounting an aggressive drive to keep that youth vote just shows that winning in 2020 isn't a priority.
Their greed for a big salary increase, even as they denied even a minimal one to the public servants, was an early warning. They never recovered from that.

They do. Insensitive treatment over the years from pork knockers and GDF soldiers, plus the fear of blacks that the UF built after Burnham dumped them. You will recall the Rupununi rebellion of the 60s.
Some went to the AFC when the UF and GAP collapsed, but now that the AFC has shown its weakness most aren't about the support the PNC.
The fact remains that coast landers have been disrespectful to Amerindians over the generations and the face of the coast lander that they saw most (until the last 20 years or so) has been the Afro Guyanese. If you haven't heard GDF men boasting about what they did to "buck" women I don't know where you have been hiding.

The Rupununi rebellion was led by traitors who wanted to set up their own feudal republic. They played on the fears that Amerindians had of coast landers (in those days meaning blacks). Had they succeeded the Amerindians would have been like their brethren in Brazil. Look up Amazonian Indians for what happens over there.
But yes the GDF weren't saints and the legacy of their behavior lives on until today.

The problem with being led by people over 70 is that their best days have gone and the future isn't something that they care about.
The big disappointment was that the APNU/AFC didn't introduce a strong cadre of leadership by people in the 40s and 50s. But they didn't for reasons that I allude to.

It is not discussed because Amerindians have no political, economic or social clout in Guyana. So their views about other ethnicities is never a topic that interests most people. But it does exist and one need only see how poorly the PNC did in Regions 1, 8 and 9 prior to its alliance with the AFC.
And if you don't know about GDF abuse you are either in serious denial or not very knowledgeable. GDF soldiers used to loudly boast of what they did to "buck woman". Their humanity is people deserving of respect is something that coastal people aren't aware of. We never thought that a day would come when Amerindians would be a strong swing vote factor. But now they are and the PPP benefits more from this than does the PNC, now that the UF no longer exists.
Given that blacks have had a greater presence in the interior than have Indians its they who get the blame even if they aren't the only perpetrators. The UF was very loud in the Rupununi about blacks the same way that Jagdeo was more recently and the behavior of some GDF and some pork knockers made such attempts to stigmatize easier.

I know that you must scream nonsense as I tell the truth. Any way Indians worship whites way more than do blacks. Look how you let a FOREIGNER become president.
Black people saw three alternatives. Racist (PPP), incompetent (APNU) and useless (AFC) so exercised their right to not endorse any of them.
