Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani singer, primarily of Qawwali, a devotional music of the Muslim Sufis. He is the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. In addition to Qawwali, he also performs ghazals and other light music.

I saw Rahat perform at Colden Center in Queens a couple of years ago. That spurred the argument of his uncle versus Rafi as the greatest singer.

The performance was great.

Thanks! Yes, he is a legend and one of my favorite singers. I think he, and Suno Nigam is the only two Bollywood singers incorporated their music and sang with the London Symphony orchestra in two live performances.
