I will post a reminder next year for those who may be interested in purchasing plants at the Nursery at Weston/Rutherford.

I also collect rainfall to water the plants. It really works. I am by no means a professional farmer but plant my "kitchen garden" every year.

I had a plant a few years back which produced one so dam long I wanted to carve it out an make a canoe.

That year everydam thing I ate had zucchini in it..even the flippin ice cream.

The second plant is indeed zucchini. I always get a good crop every year.

The zucchini usually gets large, I hope I can post some pics this year.

Cain, I know that you are an expert on herbal remedies. Any recommendations on herbal plants ? I will try some next year.

one of my fave veggie to plant....zucchini

very little care and the yield is fantastic

but like Cain...by the end of the season my hubby does get sick of it

- i curry or stew with chicken or beef

- i grill it on the bbq

- i make zucchini parmasean

- i even make zucchini cake

- i cut up and freeze for curry/stew over the winter (used up my last bag about a month ago)

i notice that my plants (well, they are actually hubby's plants this year since he is doing all the gardening) have picked up now with the nice rainfall.

No way man, that's too much work,I just buy what I need from the health store. You can plant the usual, parsley or thyme, rosemary etc.
