Ramayana is the park 2011 is in its third year, and each year it is bigger and better than the last. The pictures and videos that follow are from 2010. My wife and I attended the opening night and will attend all seven nights. Come out with your entire family and listen to the Dharmacharyas read and explain the Holy Gita in details. Listen to bhagans and chants the holy mantras. After all the stress we live through, Ramayana in the Park will relieve you from your anxiety. Come out and see what is making news in Queens. The committed members should be commended for a job well done.

I write to applaud the organisers of the Ramayana in the Park held at
the Cheddi Jagan Square in Richmond Hill in late August. They
provided a week of spirituality for NY-based Guyanese to seek the
kingdom of God over seven nights. It also brought together people of
different beliefs working towards spiritual upliftment. Arya Samajaists
and Sanatanists collaborated on this first of a kind venture and it was
well received bringing out hundreds of people who are patrons of
temples of both faiths.

There are several versions of the Ramayan.

I don't do Nau Grahah pooja nor do I belief that after life my soul have to pass thru 16 toll stations and I have to make gifts to the Brahmins so that my aatmaa can merge with the Paramaatmaa. The only ritual common among Hindus is the Vedic Hawan. The difference of their beliefs can be seen from their rituals and sybolism. However there is unity in our diversity.

Shanti OM!
