Now that the AFC fighting has spilled into open arena and Ramjattan has become third fiddle to Nigel, he is planning his departure. AFC members here now refer him to Sonia Ghandi. This is an insult to Ramjattan.

Moses is the so called presidential candidate but Nigel dictates what Moses says and does.

Nigel is fully in charge of the AFC and he is busy trying to topple Moses and stamp his brand on the AFC.

This is fun to watch folks and notice how their propaganda machinery is in overdrive to divert attention away from the fighting going on in the AFC. Enjoy the drama folks.

Not one single AFC supporter here can debate without resorting to personal attacks and use foul language. It is not strange since this is the AFC trait and the core of who they are.

Trotman is having a field day as he jumped the sinking ship in time before it sank.

This is what is called operant conditioning by these communists in the PPP. It is the stagnant model of democratic centralism operating solely to create a group of elites or vanguard party in accordance to Marxist dialectics. No non Marxist party is supposed to be an assemblage of sheep herded by a shepherd. It is supposed to be a dynamic group of individuals who agree to operate under a set of core principles but whose duty is to be competing for leadership and through merit are selected for the roles. The PPP has completely fu c. ked up your minds.

Trotman threatens to quit as House Speaker

BY MICHAEL YOUNGE

House Speaker Raphael Trotman has publicly signalled his willingness to resign from the post during Thursday’s sitting of the National Assembly in the face of a series of opposition orchestrated assaults on the ethics of Parliament.
Trotman, who appeared to be extremely frustrated at the continued gridlock, lack of compromise and cooperation between the government, which has 32 seats and the combined opposition with 33 seats, made the admission while handing down another controversial ruling which he noted may not be well received by the respective sides.
β€œShould any party or side of this House alone, or together require my resignation, or express no-confidence in me, I am prepared to go… as Speaker, I have a duty to ensure that the rules and procedures of this House are respected and followed,” he said, surprisingly before delivering his judgement.

House Speaker Raphael Trotman

Trotman, many opined, has long been β€œfed up” and β€œdisappointed” about the bickering and continued β€œin-fighting” in the Parliament, under what he had hoped would be a 10th Parliament of opportunities and compromise.
Alliance For Change (AFC) through its vice chairman, Moses Nagamootoo, has signalled its confidence in Trotman and his ability to function as Speaker following his statement on Thursday evening.
β€œWe have no intention or cause to express any no-confidence in your honour,” Nagamootoo noted.
Speaking during an invited comment, People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) Member of Parliament and Legal Affairs Minister Anil Nandlall said his party was not surprised at the Speaker’s declaration, or willingness to resign.
β€œThe Speaker is a member of the opposition… the Speaker is the product of a political process from the opposition benches, and therefore, he cannot find justification to uphold the position which the opposition wants him to uphold… so out of frustration, he is saying that he is prepared to resign… it has nothing to do with the government,” Nandlall posited.
He said that the PPP/C administration wanted the Speaker to discharge his functions impartially and was obviously concerned about several of Trotman’s ruling’s and judgement on contentious issues, which it has vetted in the public domain via its party meetings, and the mass media.
β€œWe just want him to uphold the law and discharge the duties of the Speaker… we don’t want any favours from him but we want him to do the proper thing.”
Asked what the proper thing was, Nandlall opined that β€œto do the proper thing means that he would be going against the persons who elected him to the chair and hence his indication to them that he is prepared to resign… that’s a matter for him and his political colleagues”.
Trotman also upbraided his party colleague AFC Chairman Khemraj Ramjattan for threatening to unseat the PPP government through a no-confidence motion.
β€œMr Speaker, before your ruling, Sir … the honourable member, Mr Khemraj Ramjattan said on that side of the House that β€˜we will knock off each one of you, one by one’,” Transport and Hydraulics Minister Robeson Benn complained to the Speaker.
When Trotman inquired into the complaint, Ramjattan said he did not make the comment β€œwhile speaking on his feet”, but didn’t deny either that he made them during a series of cross-talk and snide remarks to government ministers.
β€œWe are not carrying out any kind of pappy show,” Trotman said, in a frustrated, disappointed tone.
