PRESIDENT RAMOTAR TO GUYANESE DIASPORA:

President Donald Ramotar addressing members of the diaspora in the US

Let me give you one startling figure that you never see in the press anytime. When we came into office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was getting more money than the Ministries of Education, Health, Housing and Agriculture, all put together. Today, we have the opposite situation, where the bulk of our investment, if you examine our economy, goes to the social sector – health – education  gets the biggest in this, 30 per cent of our budget,” he explained.

THE ESTEEMED POSTER BILLY RAM RAMGOBIN HITS THE NAIL ON THE HEAD

Ramotar is now better-known and better-admired by the people of Guyana.  He acknowledged the existence of corruption and the problems of the  sugar industry. He is working to get things right and we must recognize this.

His opponents have wasted their energies on unproductive politics that will come back to haunt them at the polls. They are already being ostracized for their reckless behaviors in parliament, media, and on the streets.

Ramotar is now seen as the compromising figure who reaches out to all for the betterment of Guyana. He shows no hostility to his opponents in the face of so much attacks. He is destroying the opposition with his kindness.

The brother has come a far way. He no longer looks like that fat and overweight truck driver. He has lost weight and dresses like an corporate executive. He will win a majority at the next polls.

MORE PRAISE FOR PRESIDENT RAMOTAR

President Ramotar addressing the UN General Assembly in Sept 2014

* The Guyanese people now see their President as a leader with character and integrity. They trust him and have grown to admire and respect him.

* On the other hand, when they look at the clowns over at the AFC, they see a bitter opportunist in Moses Nagamootoo, a congenital liar in Khemraj Ramjattan and an accused paedophile in Raphael Trotman.

* It is clear as daylight which party will win the next election by a majority.

I see plainly a bunch of rent seeking crabs feeding on a festering corpse that the nation has become with the PPP in office. It serves only the PPP friends and family. The environment is crap, the Chinese is pillaging the forests and now they are being given the ocean. Sugar is dead because Ramorat took possession of a white elephant. Even a 4 year old would protest  if he or she is given a broken toy. This fat empty headed moron accepted a quarter of a billion dollar machine with no warranty of usability!

what sense do you make? Speaking about your aptitude with a dildo in not speaking to one's wisdom neither does list making or pompous declarations about this or that.

Every Guyanese with an ounce of sense tells you the PPP are crooks. Even you with your pretense to wisdom stumbled unto that fact. Development is not simply the presence of ostentatious consumption. It is providing the people with access to the basic needs ie protection of property, security,  or recourse to justice.

Is he really down as a President? The man is a goddam waste of sperm, he has done absolutely nothing for the country since elected but sit on his big fat ass (along with his family) collecting a fat paycheque from the people.

Listen Stormborn:

* The Rev has absolutely never talked about dildos on GNI, but I did talk about adventurous and enterprising couples using vibrators during oral s*x.

* READ MY COMMENT TO GILBAKKA In ANOTHER THREAD:

Gilbakka:

* Elite, advanced, adventurous, and enterprising couples use toys in their sexual repertoire. There is nothing perverted about toys.

* Of course, dull, tedious, boring, monotonous, plain vanilla couples would be aghast at hearing about toys in the bedroom and would consider them perverted.

* The Rev had explained over in social that enterprising and sophisticated women love the feeling of being penetrated while having oral s*x and that's how vibrators come into use.

* You ordinary types---dull, tiresome, monotonous, plain vanillas lovers can call adventurous and enterprising folks like the Rev all the names in the world, but in the end you will always be BORING.

The people must restrain the PPP from doing further damage to Guyana

September 30, 2014 | By | Filed Under Letters

DEAR EDITOR, A wise government knows how to enforce with temper, or to conciliate with dignity, but an unwise government is odious in the former, and contemptible in the latter. The PPP government fits the latter explanation, in that it is wicked and unrighteous.  It is a rapacious and unconscionable imposer of false claims on those who criticize and expose its corrupt practices and spiteful actions. It is principally a predatory beast, especially against the publisher and editor-in-chief of Kaieteur News. For years, hundreds of Guyanese have been maimed, killed and/or otherwise emotionally and physically ruined by the Police. The vast majority of them are Afro-Guyanese youths who have been easy prey for the police in their quest to solve crimes. Many are convicted of criminal acts because they were beaten by the police to confess to crimes they did not commit. Like some elements of the police, many in the ruling cabal have placed themselves above the law – evidently situated themselves with the imprimatur of government on untouchable, unreachable pedestals as barons, gods, knights and kings. The minority PPP regime has not only challenged but has also rejected every statement, bill and motion put forth by the majority opposition in Parliament. It has usurped the Constitution, compromised the judiciary and ignored the wishes of the people. In short, it is a contemptuous group. These manifestations are clear reminders that this government has no shame and quite frankly cares not about the people. What is even more disgraceful is that it is robbing the taxpayers and is taking from the poor and giving to the rich. Not only that, it has abused the human rights of those who criticized it and has continued to marginalize the second largest ethnic group in the country and has permanently destroyed the lives of many innocent citizens. This kind of treatment is a regular occurrence. It is cruel. However, its hierarchy is busy protecting the party’s members and supporters and preserving the status quo.  The question is when will ordinary Guyanese realize that this type of cruel treatment meted out to critics of the regime today, in all probability, will happen to them tomorrow if they do not stand up and defend the human rights abuses by the ruling cabal. Justice is the last bastion of protection for the poor and oppressed people in any country, and Guyana is no exception. In a self-respecting, decent society, government would hold its head in shame if it does something wrong; but no, not this shameless, boorish and rotten regime. If the behaviour of the PPP cabal is not reprehensible, then what is? Anyone who is not mortified by the cruel and barbaric actions of the PPP regime should be reminded of what would happen to Guyana if they continue to remain silent when their neighbours are being victimized, only to realize later that their silence was the cause of it. The problem in Guyana is the acceptance of ghetto standards from the wretched administration and the concomitant acceptance of such low standards of the people. This is the curse facing the country. Billions of dollars in debt, increasing crime and violence, gut-wrenching poverty spreading throughout the country, runaway corruption, skullduggery, abuse of the rule of law, contempt for the Constitution, disrespect for the people, anemic economic growth and the people’s collective willingness to accept gutter standards from this unrighteous regime is pathetic. Unless the people get to the point where they realize that they need to practically concern themselves with the injustice and unfairness that is meted out to the poor and oppressed on a daily basis – those who are not on first-name basis with ministers of government and politicians, those who cannot afford high-priced lawyers, those who generally do not have the social, economic and power connections that typically decide who gets what, where, when and how in Guyana – then they must continue to expect higher levels of crime and violence, rampant corruption, higher personal security costs and greater diminution in their collective standards of life. Thomas Jefferson said, “No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal rights of another, and this is all from which the laws ought to restrain him.” The people must restrain the PPP from doing further damage to Guyana. He's in effect admitting to wasting big money on education because only 30% of students are reading at their grade level and only 36% are passing math while the Caricom average is at 50%. once again the PPP celebrates failure as if it's an achievement.

PPP’s 20-year unbroken rule an era of broken promises – AFC

October 4, 2012 | By | Filed Under News

“Tomorrow (October 5th) marks 20 unbroken years of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) in Government, and much of what is positive over the years, has been lost in the frenzy over political control and domination.” This notion was expressed by Alliance for Change (AFC) Vice-Chairman, Moses Nagamootoo, during the Party’s weekly press briefing. Nagamootoo, who once served as a Minister in the PPP Government from 1992 to 2000, reflected that when the PPP assented to Office, it was supposed to be “the dawn of a new era”.

AFC Vice-Chairman, Moses Nagamootoo

“The ‘new era’ promise has been betrayed, and working people have lost faith and hope in the PPP. It is divided and weak and under its present ‘Jagdeoite’ leadership, it can no longer by itself guarantee Guyana good, stable and effective governance. The PPP’s rule has been an era of broken promises.” Nagamootooo stressed that during the 20-year period, President Bharrat Jagdeo ruled from 1999 to 2011, and those years stand out as Guyana’s disgraced era of political vulgarity, lawlessness and corruption. He noted that the early years of the Party in Office were not mired in corruption. “The Cheddi Jagan presidency was the golden gem of “lean and clean” in governance. It was short-lived. While the formal political democracy for which we had fought relentlessly, was to survive, the frugal and honest government of Cheddi Jagan died with him,” Nagamootoo reflected. The veteran politician stressed that 20 years ago Guyanese voted for a change in how Government did business, as they sought benefits for their hard work and taxes, improved social services and job opportunities, but the story of development has been lost in the narrative of corruption. “There is no parallel in Guyana’s history for the vulgar descent into corrupt practices as that unfolding under the PPP’s watch. The inheritors have put Cheddi Jagan and his crop of selfless fighters to shame. “These inheritors have become get-rich-quick elite that have forged an incestuous relationship with rags-to-riches tycoons. They and their cronies swindle billions of dollars on scams…failed construction projects; accounts hidden from the treasury; super salaries for sinecure employment together with ‘fat cat’ pensions, perks and privileges; rigged contracts for computers, drugs, pirated textbooks.” Nagamootoo opined that after 20 years, “the social fabric of society is disintegrating, as there seems to be no effective safety net for the poor and vulnerable. In addition, Government has to be held accountable for the near financial collapse of the National Insurance Scheme in which thousands of contributors invested and are now pushed to the edge of uncertainty”. “The drain in public funds, plus squandermania and waste, has resulted in greater borrowing so that Guyana’s national debt today is higher than that under the PNC regime,” Nagamootoo noted.

Mother, unborn baby die at GPHC – Relatives say doctors erred ‘big time’

September 8, 2014 8:05 am Category: latest news A+ / A-

By: Leroy Smith

Dead: Evita Singh

Dead: Evita Singh

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Evita Singh, a mother of two, died early yesterday morning, two days after her unborn child died inside her while she was a maternity patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

iNews in an interview with the dead woman’s relatives on Sunday learnt that the 34 – year – old went into the hospital on Monday last and by Wednesday she had started experiencing problems while in the care of doctors at the institution.

The woman who was not ready to deliver, according to relatives, was being treated at the hospital for the symptoms of the Chikungunya Virus.

Relatives told iNews that the woman died as a result of severe internal bleeding brought on by six Cytotec pills which were inserted into her to induce labour even though she did not indicate that she was having labour pains.

It was reported by relatives that the dosage which were administered to the woman was way above the normal amount and according to persons who are familiar with the use of the pill which is also administered to animals, six pills are not even administered to an animal under no circumstances.

The pills reportedly caused the woman to bleed internally and burst the baby’s head and her internal organs. Her uterus was reportedly split into half; relatives say they were told by at least one doctor.

iNews was told that a health worker who was in the room between Thursday night and Friday morning when the woman began experiencing severe discomfort told relatives that the pills were given to the woman for her to deliver so that they can treat her for the Chikungunya Virus.

They said that the pills were administered because the doctors were not willing to perform a C-Section on the woman although they knew she did not have enough passage for the baby.

“Doctors were not willing to do a C-Section and when they finally realized that the woman was still having a hard time after they administered the pills they decided to cut her. But by that time, when the woman was taken to the operation room she could not be operated on since someone was already in the room and on the machine,” iNews was told.

Doctors reportedly told relatives that they realized that the baby’s heart rate had dropped but there was nothing that they could have done since they had to get the machine to operate on her and remove the child. They had to wait fifteen minutes and by that time the child was believed to have already died inside the woman.

Family members are not taking the death lightly since according to them they have evidence and witnesses who can prove that doctors were misleading them on the condition of the woman and the events leading up to her death.

They told iNews that one doctor who telephoned them on Friday morning when the woman went into her distress informed them that “their relative loose her baby because of carelessness and laziness;” pointing to the failure and reluctance of the workers on shift at the time to have the woman do a C-T scan.
