Biography
Ramya is a leading Indian actress, who has acted mainly in Kannada movies. Ramya's original name is Divya Spandana. Her parents hail from Mandya. She did her schooling at St. Hilda school in Ooty.

She earned her bachelor degree from St. Josephs College in Bangalore. She started her career in Kannada films alongside Puneet Rajkumar in Abhi. The movie earned a good name for her and it continued with Prem's Excuse Me.
 
She made her Tollywood debut in Abhimanyu movie. In 2004, Ramya entered Tamil films. The most notable movies of her career are Abhi, Excuse Me, Ranga SSLC, Aakash, Amrithadhare, Jothe Jotheyali, etc.
 
Political career : Ramya became the youngest MP (Congress Party) after winning the bypolls from the Mandya constituency.
 
IPL
Ramya is the brand ambassador of Royal Challengers Bangalore, the IPL cricket team owned by businessman Vijay Mallya. In April 2011.
 
Small Screen
Ramya made on small screen debut with Ashwini Nakshatra. She was seen as the sutradhar in the serial.
 
Clothing Line
She also has launched her clothing line 'Spandana'.
 
Personal life
Ramya's foster father is RT Narayan and her mother is Ranjitha.

A week before rumours spread that Sandalwood Queen Ramya will shortly make her small screen debut. Now, the rumour has turned out to be true.
 
The Sanju Weds Geetha actress was seen as a special judge at the dancing reality show 'Dancing Star Junior'.
 
The programme was telecasted on Colours Kannada yesterday, Sep 21. Ramya's presence added more glimpse to the show and contestants loved to perform in front of their favourite actress in KFI.
 
Ramya, the honourable Member of Parliament, Mandya was impressed after seeing the electrifying performances given by the little champs at the show. As usual Crazy Star Ravichandran and Dancer Mayuri Upadhya were two jugdes for Dancing Star Junior.
 
The grand finale was a nail biting experience for contestants, audiences and as well as for the jugdes. After the two electrifying performances, the grand winner was announced. It is none other than Murali.
 
The little champ bagged the winner trophy of Dancing Star Junior and singer Shamitha Malnad was his mentor. Along with the trophy, Murali will enjoy travelling to Australia.
 
Last season it was Dancing Star 2 and it was won small screen artist cum actor Master Anand. Congratulations for little champ Murali.
