He might be one of the most powerful men in the world, but Sir Richard Branson was the brunt of a thousand jokes on Saturday night as he donned a skirt and a full face of make-up on a flight to Malaysia.

The billionaire entrepreneur swapped his boxer shorts for a pair of stockings after losing a Grand Prix bet with AirAsia chief executive Tony Fernandez two years ago.

The Virgin boss - who even shaved his legs for the flight - served drinks and pledged to clean the toilets on the special flight - all while sporting the red AirAsia uniform, which included a skirt suit and crisp white shirt.

Pulling his blonde locks back into clips, Branson completed his fresh new look with a sweep of red lipstick and a fetching set of false eyelashes.

Putting on a brave face, the 62-year-old finally made good on the bet that he lost two years ago - after being too busy to see it through any earlier.

Sir Richard Branson is a jolly good fellow, most likeable. A smart businessman who started off with small resources and succeeded big time. A consummate showman too.

Sir Richard once owned a very popular gay night club in london called the Heaven.

Something is wrong with this picture. He may be a Sir, rich and powerful, but in trying to portray gaiety, he reeks of gayness. Sunil, what's with these Brits?

Branson is not gay. He has several children and a girlfriend. He just made alot of money from owning the largest gay club and bar in Britain.

Branson is the ultimate showman, he will do anything to promote his brand.

This Branson is a very smart man. In order to buy the Heaven gay club and bar (the Largest gay bar and club in Britain) he went to some beer companies and ask them to borrow 500,000 pounds. In return they would get to supply the Heaven gay club and bar with beer. They loaned him the money and he bought the club. They made their money back with profit by supplying the gay club and bar with beer.
