Roger Khan released from US prison

Shaheed “Roger” Khan has been released from prison on Monday and is now in custody of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as he awaits deportation to Guyana.

According to the ICE website, Khan is in custody at the Krome Detention Facility in Miami, Florida. According to reports received, the process for deportation to Guyana has started and Khan is expected to arrive in Guyana soon.

Upon deportation, Khan will be escorted to Guyana by members of ICE and upon his arrival at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri, he will be handed over to local law enforcement authorities.

Crime Chief (ag) Michael Kingston earlier in the week stated that Khan would be treated like any other deportee who has been sent back to Guyana.

“Whatever matters, allegations have been made against him, those will be investigated. He will [be] treated like every other deportee that is being deported from the States. All deportees coming in normally are escorted to CID headquarters,” the Crime Chief (ag) said.

Khan was sentenced in 2009 after he pleaded guilty to arms trafficking, drug trafficking, conspiracy and witness tampering. He was nabbed in neighboring Suriname back in June 2006 after fleeing Guyana.

I think the PNC will take him out.

If this is so, then they better get it rite the first time otherwise he could reactivate that infamous unit we all know so well then shit could really hit the fan. I have a feeling this man got money stash somewhere to finance anything. But let's see how things play out.

None of his assets were seized. He still holds  considerable  resources to allow him to bootstrap  any enterprise. I think he may own cow island but I do not know how that dispute was resolved in the courts. There may be grievances against him by many so he may have to lie low.

True. Guys like Nehru would go ask him for autograph and suh. Tek out selfie an all.

You should, he probably saved any Indian relatives you have in Guyana, I have none. He paid the ultimate price for his crime, now it is up to him to go straight or get involved in crimes, his choice. Many Indians are ALIVE because of him, a solution that was necessary at the time. The PNC openly supported and condoned a TERRORISTS Group while the GPF and GDF Forces looked on, turn a blind eye whichever terminology you want. Worshinpish individuals is NOT Uncle Nehru cup of teaa, I am confident in myself!!

There is no rational justification for immorality. The PPP did the wrong thing to engage this fellow as their instrument of policing the state. For that they are to be eternally blamed as condoning murder.

They had the authority to take other legal action. If they were assured the security forces were suspect they had the capacity to seek remedy in recruiting foreign aid. What they did is a stain on all of us and will be the eternal refrain from members of African community that the PPP are extrajudicial killers. I think that is well earned given you do not doubt RK was an agent who was engaged on their behalf.

I think it was this Kaow Island thing that caused Sat and Raja to have a falling out. Can't confirmed tho.

Just be happy your relatives are alive and understand that there was no time to wait, it was a matter of life and death, the PPP choose LIFE for Indo Guyanese, I will take that any day. No one has said it was the first choice, the fact is, at the time it was the ONLY choice!!!

If you are stranded on an Island dying of thirst, would you not sip your Piss to survive????

Why should I be thankful if perchance Roger was instrumental in killing some horrible person in their village or block? I would still be astounded that a drug kingpin was my security net and not the state.

You have to set up the metaphor better. If I were on an island water would be around me. I have already equipped myself with the understanding of the right way to get drinkable water. Further, the available piss is similarly easily purified from resources at hand.

Robin Hood was a criminal also, let us not forget. Khan has lived a life of a criminal and now it is up to him to choose.

Robin hood was a resistance fighter against a usurper in the personage of the terrible king John and his crony the sheriff on Nottingham. Unless of course you liken the PPP to to King john who is immortalized in the Scottish ballad, "The Abbot of Canterbury" as " he did great wrong, and maintained little right".

My point is a criminal could do good deeds also, like saving innocent lives!!

I say PUNISH them for their crimes and be grateful for the lives they saved.

The good books advise that good cannot come from evil. That is a commonsense idiom. Even a avowed heathen like me can grasp that. Further even the good lord is quoted as stating that only he judges and forwards the call to let the sinners come unto him. We cannot take the law into our hands.

When there is no law or law enforcement to protect the innocent, help is welcome from any source. As brother X said " By any means possible"!

The required agency to supply help was the PPP but they were so steeped into wrong doing they could not differentiate prudent behavior from imprudent ones and so hired a drug lord as our security force.

Malcolm was a holy man so his any means necessary did not peruse the border of evil means.

Sorry, the saying is that even the devil can quote scriptures when necessary. I happen not to be devilish or devil-like but I also know the scriptures. It does not mean i believe it was sourced from or validates a divine agency.

The Business community, Indians and a percentage of the Blacks community is in-depth to Roger Khan.

If any of you on this site had live through this dark days or experience violence of any sort.. you could have understood what Roger Khan did.

BTW, Roger went after the criminals   but more so, it was a fight to gain status in the Drug business.

Their were lots of bureaucracy to cross if the government was to engage outside help to fight the crime.

The Army stood on Buxton Rd and watch Buxtonian rob and demand money from Indian drivers who went about their daily business.

We should not forget Nigel Hughes remove the video recorder or the killing of Brian Hamilton.

The Police were in bed with the criminals and so was Politicians from Congress Place.

The Buxtonians burn the homes of their own villagers, while some flee for their lives. Remember the Chester home that was burned down.

PNC will not kill Roger, the people who owe him, will want him gone.

He will be well protected. I say no more on this.

Women, children, elderly in wheelchairs were being killed like animals, people could not leave their homes all while the GPF and GDF collected their salaries. Smoking marijuana at Buxoin line top with PNC members and supporting their criminal activities. How quickly we forget, the Min of Home Affairs was sprayed with bullets sitting at a Bar enjoying an evening drink. I can go on and on but what difference will it make to the Dj, Carib and others!!!

How come we Guyanese nor the American people have a problem with the US using a convicted Dominican drug dealer to infiltrate the mosque in Guyana in search of Adnan Shukrajummah which resulted in thwarting Abdul Kadir's plans to bomb JFK?  Don't you guys see  a double-standard here?

I wish Stormy could've offered his expertise when the country was in dire need of help.  Roger Khan would not have been involved and maybe things would have turned out just as good.

If they had asked I would have advised them stay clear of that drug lord and not allow their minister to engage in extrajudicial behavior.

Using people who are in an organization to ferret out information is standard enforcement and data collection tactic. It is different from using them to murder people. That is where I personally would draw the line.

My opinion, the PPP wavered too long to act making it messier in the end.

Back in 2011 a top AFC leader told me some details to the run up.  He said they were waiting for the PPP to act and knew they had to go outside.  It’s was not until Sat Shaw got killed they acted.

The solution was a desperate scramble!

What the US does is there business.  RK totally corrupted Guyana and even allegedly killed a PPP minister.

Guyana was offered assistance in professionalizing its crime fighting and judiciary apparatus.  Because the PPP was terrified that ABC nations would confirm their belief that the PPP was in full cahoots with drug dealers and gun smugglers they screamed and wailed about "sovereignty".

Those who call RK a hero need to hide their heads in shame.  Most assuredly the Dominican isnt considered by anyone to be a hero.

Roger was to gather information, however, in the process of information gathering his team came under attack and of course they had to defend themselves.

His team was involved in contract killing, where he wasn’t involved.

I think the PNC has to a point been successful in creating a myth about Roger Khan.  The fact is that the Phantoms just took less than 15 hardcore criminals and not the hundreds that they want us to believe. These criminals were armed and deadly.  They carried robberies, rape, and murder in a sadistic manner. They have been milking this Roger Khan issue for political purposes just like the exploited the myth of a deadly PPP gunman called "Dougla Alfred".  Well, the myth of "Dougla Alfred" has been replaced by the myth of a deadly (RK) who took out hundreds of you innocent AFrican Young men.
