We had a nice mini vacation at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City for the kids spring break.  Came back with 2 additional family members, hermit crabs.  Back to school and work tomorrow!

The death is announced of Tamizodeen Mohamed who died this morning (Monday) at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York. 
 
He was 57 years old, formerly from Bush Lot West Coast Berbice and worked at Citgroup here in NYC for 30 years. 
 
Tameez was the Vice President of Masjid Al-Abidin.
 
Tameez was the husband of Sister Farida.
 
He was the father of of Zarifah, Sae'ed and Ziyad.
 
Family and friends of Tameez will gather at his home at 209-50 Whitehall Terrace, Queens Village at 8:00pm tonight.
 
Viewing at 11:30am at Islamic Funeral Home on 114th Street and Rockaway Blvd.
 
Janaaza for Tameez Mohamed will be at Masjid Al-Abidin immediately after Dhur Salah, Tuesday, April 9th, '2013
 
Masjid Al-Abidin is located at 127th Street and Liberty Ave, Richmond Hill, NY. Burial at Rosehill Cemetary, Elizabeth NJ.
 
Family and friends of Tameez will gather at his home at 209-50 Whitehall Terrace, Queens Village at 8:00pm.

Thank you a;ll for your kind sentiments. Tameez was  very quiet and helpful and during his time at Citi Group he assisted many Guyanese to get employment there. He was also very active in community work  with special interest to orphans and the organization HABITANT FOR hUMANITY.

He served as vice president for MASJID aLABIDIN up to the time of his death and he was also very active with the Madarsa programne for the children and youths.

 

He left behind children ages 18, 16 and 12.

Sorry to hear, he left little ones behind.
