The FIFA World Cup Trophy arrived in Guyana at 09:00h this morning as part of its nine-month world tour before the FIFA World Cup kicks off in Brazil next year.
Many high-ranking government officials, including Sport Minister Dr Frank Anthony, were present for the arrival of the trophy, made of solid gold. Also turning out, were top executives of Banks DIH, producer of Coca Cola, under which the tour is being held, President of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Christopher Matthias, among others.
