Taapsee Pannu made her Bollywood debut with Chashme Baddoor in 2013. After that, she has not looked back. Gossip mills are churning out rumours that the Baby actor has been approached for the biopic of civil rights activist Irom Sharmila.

Box Office India quoted a source as saying, “Taapsee loved the script and she always wanted to do something like this. As an actor, she is looking for inspiring and meaty roles, and when Vikas narrated the script to her, she found it inspiring. Right now, she is busy promoting Pink and shooting for her untitled film abroad. She will sign ‘Imphal‘ only after ‘Pink’ releases”.

The movie is titled Imphal and will be a Vikas K Dwivedi directorial. The film will be extensively shot in North India. On a related note, Taapsee will be next seen in Pink.
