Don't care the slightest who people marry.  Do care when an Indian is the hiring manager and in G/T hires only one black out of the 20 folks who he offered jobs to.

Please tell me, given the demographics of G/T, how this will be possible unless there is a definite bias against blacks, with the lucky one hired just used to disguise the obvious racism involved.

Do care when black taxi drivers at GEO tell me that they don't bother with flights arriving from Toronto as the Indians will walk right passed them to select an Indian, only using them when no Indians are available.

Do care when Indians have to go beg black islanders for work, and yet still peddle the notion that "blacks are lazy and ought to be lucky that Indians live in Guyana".

That is the racism which hurts blacks.  And in fact even your feeling that blacks pine to marry Indians just indicates your notion that we are superior.

So getting back to the airport.  Here is what I am told. Blacks will jump into the first taxi who they see, regardless of race.  Many Indians jump into the first taxi who they see DRIVEN BY AN INDIAN.

You see for many Guyanese Indians, being INDIAN is all that matters.  This is not an attitude which wins you popularity contests in a multi racial society, which is why the "coolie party" lost.

Listen banna, I don't have all the fact behind your statistics of 1 in 20.  However, Indians had to seek employment in private as Govt positions historically went to Afros.

Now, if an Indian did not select an Afro due to race, that is totally wrong and baseman would never support or condone.  I mentioned the way it is in India and that should be the way in Guyana, the best candidate gets the opportunity.  As I said in a post a few weeks back, many Indians are sensitive to the complaints of Afros about jobs.  One businessman wants to do canning on the Linden highway and explicitly said he will place it close to Blacks and hire them.  Many Indians understand the implications of unemployed youths and want to fix it.

Base, When I was getting my first Job in Guyana , I was asked repeatedly for my Card with the Palm Tree.  Eventually, I was told where and how to get one.  At the first Day of work, I was then asked again. I told them I dont have one.  I started working and was reminded to get one until apparently everyone forgot or simply gave up.

I see.  So according to you, when yuji, cobra, rama, rev, baseman, conscience and the others preach racism, AND YOU IGNORE THEM, I must be silent, or I am "mean spirited".

So MLK and the many who spoke out on racism were also mean spirited, because in your world, blacks must take abuse, smile, and say nothing.  Problem that you have is the fact that people of West African extract aren't known to be docile.

I gave a specific example of a hiring manager at AINLIM.   In G/T he was only able to find ONE black person fit enough to hire.  That is LAUGHABLE< given the demographics of G/T.

I am sure that there are many others, as we have all heard stories of blacks being told "is not Burnham time".  One can only wonder what they are now doing, given that it is now "Granger time".

If Indians are so sensitive abut Afro unemployment, then why does Afro unemployment exist?  Clearly they aren't being hired, so save your false tears for some one who is more gullible.

And will blacks be only hired for bottom jobs?  Blacks UG graduates have had to flee to Grenada to find work, complaining of racism at places like DDL.

Now that Jagdeo isn't ruling the roost, screaming hell and damnation on blacks, maybe folks will learn to look at individuals based on personal characteristics, and not based on hair.

Afro Guyanese don't want charity.  They want to be selected on the SAME basis as every one else.  If they show capacity to be promoted, they will want that as well.  Not to be told that "you all black people ungrateful" when they look at a 95% Indian management team.

Any way Granger will have to deliver fairness to blacks.  If they don't see any improvement in their condition, they will not vote.......but then that is what Indian racists like you want any way.

Once again, you gave an example.  AINLIM is not an Indian-controlled outfit.  Furthermore, you and I have no idea of what skills they were after and the profile of all the candidates, so you ready to burn of a "hunch".

Now, are you sure or guessing.  I think the latter.

The HIRING MANAGER was an Indian.  I deliberately mentioned  a non Indian owned company to show how pervasive the problem is if Indians feel that they will only be inclusive to other Indians.

And what skills to Indians have that Africans don't, to the point where 95% of the hires in a city like G/T are going to be Indian?  Of yes, I know.....STRAIGHT HAIR!

They have HR to ensure fairness.  I and you don't know what they were looking for and how the candidates stack up.  The Govt can look into these grievances by examining the records.

This was the HEAD HR guy.  Now when people like me speak out maybe his bosses would look at this issue, but blacks in Guyana during the Jagdeo era, when this happened, were living in terror.

You see speaking out, if one was an Afro Guyanese, meant being intimidated, called racist, accused of wishing the death of Indians......just about all the charges which you and the other Indo KKK racists hurl at me.

But I don't live in Guyana, and don't depend on any one living there for my income, so I could say what I want.  You cannot intimidate me.  No Phantoms in NY.

Now that 3/4 of the shoe is on the other foot, I wonder what will happen to Indo KKKites like you who live in Guyana.  Already Jordan and Harmon are being called black supremacists.
