Drinking water is an essential part of life and a basic necessity for human to survive. Some of us are fortunate and many are not. The pictures you see tell you a story of how Guyanese struggle to get that basic necessity of life.
A village girl fetching two buckets of water. That's just the beginning of her daily chores.
Scene like this is not just yesterday's story it's still a way of life for poor and disenfranchised as we speak. This is an election year, and I urge every guyanese to voice their opinion when attending political meetings and demand from your preferred candidate to make the basic necessity of life their first priority in office and hold them to this promise.
