Amazon blames Trump for losing $10 billion JEDI cloud contract to Microsoft

n a new filing made public on Monday, Amazon Web Services claims it didn’t win the JEDI contract, which could be worth as much as $10 billion, as a result of repeated public and private attacks against Amazon and CEO Jeff Bezos.
The company argues that Trump “made no secret of his personal dislike” for Bezos by criticizing him publicly and then “used his office” to prevent AWS from winning the contract.
Amazon says President Donald Trump launched “behind-the-scenes attacks” against the company, which led to it losing out on a major contract for cloud services.
In a heavily redacted, 103-page document made public on Monday, Amazon Web Services lays out why it’s protesting the Department of Defense’s decision to award Microsoft the JEDI (Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure) contract. AWS claims it didn’t win the JEDI contract, which could be worth as much as $10 billion, as a result of Trump’s repeated public and private attacks against Amazon and, specifically, its CEO Jeff Bezos.

“The question is whether the President of the United States should be allowed to use the budget of DoD to pursue his own personal and political ends,” the filing states. “DoD’s substantial and pervasive errors are hard to understand and impossible to assess separate and apart from the President’s repeatedly expressed determination to, in the words of the President himself, ‘screw Amazon.’ Basic justice requires re-evaluation of proposals and a new award decision.”

Actually those are the two easiest ones to prove and only one is needed to remove a president. Johnson did much less than what Trump does. The Democrats were smart to keep it short and sweet instead of throwing the entire book in which would have created more opportunities for the misguided Republicans to stall. This impeachment is finalized this week or early next week. What happens in the Senate will be McConnell’s funeral.

Just before the hearings started on Nov. 13, the Reuters/Ipsos poll found that “net support” for impeachment, which is the difference between the number who support impeachment and the number who oppose, was 3 percentage points.

That increased to 4 points after the first week of hearings, and then to 5 points as the second week of hearings started. The latest poll shows that net support for impeachment is now at 7 points.

The US Senate needs two-thirds or more votes to impeach a president.

Current composition of the Senate; Republicans 53; Democrats 45 and Independents 2.

It is indeed likely that the needed 66/67 votes may not be obtained.

The reality is that Trump is strongly hated by many people. But one doesn’t get impeached because they are hated. The Congressional Republicans need to say that because they can’t defend Trump’s illegal acts. But all they managed to do is demonstrate how willing they are to put their heads on the block for Trump. To this effect, I liked the question asked last night that were the circumstances reversed if Trump would put his head on a block for them. The answer is absolutely not. He would pretend he doesn’t know then, never seen them nor ever spoken to them.

Base ain’t putting his head on a block for Trump because he knows better. Sean staying by he lake too.

Republicans could not argue facts. They are just a bunch of loudmouths showing they can bully their way. What happened to the IG report? Trump's attorney Bill Barr seems to disagree. When it's not in their favor; it's wrong. Let Trump release the document and allow the subpoenaed folks to testify.
