Not sure if I agree with all of these.
CEOs need to be ruthless. Bad decisions fail companies and all decisions are governed by emotions. Good decisions are made by doing your homework.

Habit #4: They ruthlessly eliminate anyone who isnât completely behind them

I agree with this one especially. A leader is as successful as the people they surround themselves with and those people sometimes have the best ideas. Listening and empathy is as critical as passing orders.

A company I do some work with recently went through a few changes which cost them big time. One of the Directors was told to hit the road because he went against the rest of the Execs, he spoke up when the need was there and he also fought for the workers.
Just within the last year our company lost out on a $10million deal, the person instrumental in putting together a better bid for their competitor was the one they sacked.

I identify with quite afew of those habits. Need to change before it gets worse.
