In the event of any snap elections, the Guyanese populace knew the P.P.P/C was a victim of their own success, and will be reinstated this time with a majority government.....

I agree and I support it. We need to go back and win it big not to take crap from neemakarams. Guyana must move forward with one voice and that is the voice of the great leader, Ramotar.

The policies of the present administration is rooted in the working class...but the opposition seems to be hell bent on creating frustrating in the country.....Guyana must continue to move forward....not be to held ransom by the partisan politics of the joint opposition parties...

The Guyanese populace is bitterly disappointed by the actions of the joint opposition parties....

Yes they are, the populace especially canecutters at Wales and Blairmont want the opposition to demand more from the PPP Govt.

It was clear to see, the opponents of the state were instigating the strike actions...to score cheap political points...

Snap elections will be good for Guyana...more development will take place....

Bring it on. The PPP will lose more seats.

The P.P.P/C was a victim of their own success...lessons were learnt...a majority gov't awaits the P.P.P/C....in the event of any snap elections...

Maybe not after all, the AFC/PNC pulled a fast one on them when they manipulated the votes and prevented a recount in certain regions.

Snap elections should be called in Guyana...in the aid of development ....the joint opposition seems hell bent on standing in the developmental path of Guyana....

I would prefer to let this parliament play out the way it is right now. The PPP has for too long been given carte blanche in passing legislation due to their majority. Now they will have to be accountable to reasonable questions by the opposition.
Former Member
The joint opposition is flexing their majority muscle as the expense of standing in the way of progress for the Guyanese populace
Former Member
A forensic audit....the Guyanese populace believes......will give the P.P.P/C a majority gov't....snap elections will give the P.P.P/C a greater majority....
The white letters on the blue background is very hard to read.

TWO articles carried in the Friday, 17th February 2012 issue of your online paper are of considerable symptomatic significance. âIn the National AssemblyâĶThe opposition behaved reckless and irresponsibleâ and âOpposition non-cooperation Over Supplementary Bill Stymies Govât Workâ. Both clearly signal the intent of the opposition to obstruct and frustrate the governmentâs ability to conduct even routine procedures that ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day government business.
The opposition will try to convince the gullible that it is their constitutional right and duty to âopposeâ the government. But the wise among us know that legitimate constitutional rights and duties could be sinisterly employed and perverted to achieve nefarious ends.
I repeat what I said in a previous letter published in your paper, âIt is time for the government to seriously consider calling fresh elections in order to secure an effective mandate from all Guyanese who want to live in a land of peace, harmony, and prosperity. We do not want to go back to the troubling periods of our pastâ.
What is the government waiting for? You do not wait for the darkness of night to deal with a problem when you can see it clearly in the high noon-day sun!
