My dad's first car was a Morris Oxford---back in the late 60s he paid $4400 Guyana dollars---I believe he bought it from Bookers.

 

In those days you had Morris Oxford, Austin Cambridge and the Woolsley.

You're right regarding the cost---the base price is around 2.25M----with taxes and add on---3M

 

But we are talking speed---The Bugatti is currently the fastest production car.

 

When you get a chance check this video---the Bugatti Veyron tops 266 MPH or 431 KM/h

No doubt Bughatti is fastest on the road, but McLaren holds the record as fastest "naturally aspirated" production car (whatever that means )

In 1993, it reached 231-mph.

The only place on earth I can think of where those speeds are acceptable is the German Autobahn. 

Rev, the Bugatti Veyron has the highest top speed for a production car. It does not necessarily mean that it will have the fastest acceleration from 0-60mph. The Ariel Atom had a faster 0-60 than the Bugatti.

TI, naturally aspirated means that it is not turbo charged or supercharged.

McLaren gets up to 152.2 mph in 9.8 seconds. Impressive

 

The Atom is using a 500hp v8 now as opposed to a supercharged Honda Civic Type R engine that is had previously. It is super light so it flies with all that power.

My little Honda Prelude used to get 60 mph in 8 seconds before I traded in a few years ago. I guess that is real slow
