The Indians who prepared and decorated politicians with garlands on their necks should be outlawed. This practice is sinful, to say the least. This is NOT my first time saying this. It is my belief that you make politicians feel sacred instead of working for the people or working for the money they hoped to thief. Irfaan Ali is a Muslim and the garlands make him look like a Hindu deity. This is not right for Muslim voters who see him like this. He should be representing the masses without any political or religious bias.

YES....makes him look twice his size...and he already BIG.

AND they must stop saying "COMRADES"...this BS from the communist Jagan days must stop....

Ah wonder though...will dem Port Mourant people place a garland on Moses and Ramjattan???

Comrade Vish, haul yo pata cake suh .

Vish doesn’t know what a Pata Cake is. Don’t give the man a headache.

I just wanted to keep you honest. What ever you want to call his dips up to you. It tells me more about you than about Irfaan.

you do realize that obesity might be a result of medical condition. I am not saying that it is in this case. But, in the world now, it is of a questionable behaviour to refer to the physical attributes of people, especially to depreciate them.

How does a muslim know tha a mala is solely a religious symbol? If you and the princess did your research you would not make such ignorant statements. It is an indian cultural symbol of adoration for a person. Yall bigoted jackasses would like to see indian culture completely erradicated from Guyana.

Well, he did get his PhD from the UWI, a recognized university. If you want to question his, then question the hundreds of others who received PhD from the UWI. Or the thousands who received degrees from the UWI. Or GRanger who received a Masters degree from the same institution.

Are there any missing links of Granger obtaining ,the Masters Degree from UWI ? Perhaps you can fill in the blanks for the Phd  Ifraan Ali , acquired at UWI.

The Executive President is a graduate of the University of Guyana, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Master’s Degree in Social Science.

LOL ... Irfaan , have more political experience.

Are you drunk or what about political experience - Irfan political career started over two decades ago - he rises from PYO .

Hope this helps below.

Irfan served his country with distinction in these two portfolios. In his period as Minister of Housing, he led the establishment of more housing schemes in Guyana for any five-year period in the country’s history and distributed more house lots, particularly to low income and middle-income families, than any other Housing Minister in our history. As Minister of Water, he led Guyana to almost universal access to potable water and Guyana gained United Nations recognition for this achievement.
Under his tenure as Trade Minister, there were major business development and creation of several industrial parks. As Minister of Tourism, he led the drive to make tourism a major pillar of the growing and diversified economy. But Irfaan Ali distinguished himself not only as a competent and dynamic Minister of Government, he was also a dynamic legislator. He became a major spokesman in Parliament for the Government’s economic trajectory and the macro-economic and financial stability policies and actions of the then PPP Government. After 2015 – he assumed the role of shadow finance minister for the PPP and, in that capacity, he has been a thorn in the side of the A Partnership for National Unity/Alliance For Change (APNU/AFC) Government, exposing the weakness of their stewardship and the mismanagement of the economy. Ali has also been the Chair of the PAC and, in this capacity, has led the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in one of its most active periods of financial scrutiny in our parliamentary history.
He might be young, but he is also a very experienced governmentalist, legislator, and politician.
