Many of my older UG going male relatives and friends went to GNS and their parents (my uncles/aunts) hardly ever complained about them going, except they were not sure of safety issues.  This rapidly abated when their sons made a first return trip home.  As for the daughters, well all ended up having to leave UG and never completed their education as the daughters were not allowed to go.

You don't know baseman's position, I always contend a properly thought through GNS offering options to meet certain cultural sensitivities could be very welcome in Guyana.  Not sure which Indians you hang around.
