The site reminds me a little about the Venetian people - once a wonderful group of people who later became less significance over time.

Someone said history is an agreement among groups to believe the same lie because objective history is a farce. Still others insist it repeats itself ( the lie????) so essentially things stay the same naturally.
But there are still others who say that is also crap since who among you ever stepped in the same river and into the same water every time? Obviously none so history is a like the river...non static!
This leaves one with the conclusion that history is just another activity we pursue to placate our selves that we know something. Underneath we understand well it is only the stupid who are secure in themselves that the there is an idea of a history of something that is immutable.
All of that is to argue we have changed!!!!

History is firmly fixed in a chronological context. It is attached to a great man, event, people etc because they emerged as relevant. That relevancy can be termed a zone of effect.
A bum has no place in history and impart no effect on it unless an act on his part coincides with events in time that adheres into a prevailing context.
The bum is homo historia only so far as he "emerges" into the consciousness of that typifies events of what era. If for example, he burns himself to death, and that sets of a revolution he is a historical artifact. Otherwise he is just a bum that died and no one cares about and will past into nothingness as he has no history and is but is dust in the wind.
