A young Trinidadian man was doused in Moet champagne before being cremated following a funeral service where he was laid in a gold casket wearing $100,000 worth of jewellery.

Sheron Sukhedo, 33, was gunned down in a drive-by shooting outside the home of his wife's parents in Trinidad and Tobago last week.

On Friday, the millionaire real estate mogul and used car dealer was laid to rest how he lived – flashing his wealth.

He was laid in a $50,000 gold casket, adorned with gold pendants and jewellery reportedly worth $100,000, as mourners paid their respects.

A pair of Timberland boots was also placed inside the casket by his relatives.

His jewellery is believed to have been removed before he was cremated.

According to the Trindad and Tobago Guardian, police are investigating a possible family connection to Sukhedo's death.

Officers also said that members of the Rasta City gang had been plotting his murder years ago – despite Sukhedo being protected by a rival gang.

He reportedly survived an attempt on his life two years ago and had a number officers on his payroll to protect him from his enemies.

So much for Mitwah Bhai saying that we don't carry anything with us.

You very well know that it was his body and not "him" being cremated. Sri Krishna explained that in the BG. No?

This reminds me of Sammy Davis Jr.  He was buried with $75 thousand dollars worth of Jewelry.  When his wife found out that he owed the IRS millions of dollars in taxes she quickly dug him up and removed the Jewelry from him then reburied him without it.

Now this is an interesting case. Sammy Davis Jr. took $ 75 K with him and it literally came back from the dead.

What I understand is that they decorated him with his jewelry during the funeral and take them out during the cremation process. I hope they did the same for his coffin and Timberland boots. That's too much money to burn. Sell it and donate the money.

Why this rich guy gets so many enemies to cut him down after one assassination attempt on his life two years ago? It's time to find out what other business he's into.  RIP

He was wearing Ethiopian Royal family and Ethiopian Orthodox church symbols on his gold chains and body yet it looks like a hindu priest showed up at his funeral and put a mark on his head.

Labba said money meet ignorance. My take is, when you display wealth on your funeral procession, it shows that you work for money, but money didn't work to save your life.

When Iman dead I wanna wear an ole t shirt with a barcode printed on it and the words "check me out". Also old denim pants and a pair of flip flops with an IOU note in my hand.

I will make sure you get some herbs to take with you. You could have a party with your buddies on the other side.

Skelly normally before you get behind the wheel, you usually will pop the hood and take a good look at the engine.  Top up the oil etc

Bai Amral, I laughed when I read this. Have you ever seen a man who never drove a Bentley, whether used or new and had an opportunity to do checked the oil or look at the engine? He, like me just want to jump in, start the motor and drive, never care to worry if the engine was warmed up or not.

Those might be the guys who prefer to go full throttle from the start. One is suppose to let the engine warm up first listen to it hum and slowly move the gear shift in to gear.

Bai, men don't think with their brains when it comes to "riding a different sportscar".
