I did some extensive research on the early beginnings of Guiana. From some old books from the library of UW. The information is used as part of a novel, a story of "The Activist."

I just read the information on Guiana posted on uniteguyana. The information I documented were searched from several books. Happy that I got it correct.

I have some old documents dated in 1800 's  and Ruimveldt Riots,Quamina ,Luckhoo Nunan..etc ,will upload during this month.

Quamina from the Demerara Slave rebellion. In another story, still work in progress, of Indians leaving Calcutta to BG. Researching the Emancipation period, I discovered Gladstone was the owner of Plantation Success of which Quamina was bonded. Also Thomas Clarkson had advocated on a platform in Manchester, England with Anglo-Indians to promote Indian made products to England for English housewives to use in a boycott of West Indian products to force the end of slavery. The killing of John Smith and Quamina made the English public so upset that they forced the House of Commons to debate the matter, immediately.

I got info on the owners of the plantations.

I understand that Alexander Village (GT) and its surroundings used to be cane fields in the late 1800s. Anyone has historical documents to back it up?

I think that Quamina's Granddaughter name was Emma and lived in Beterverwagting Village, on the East Coast of Demerara. Also, Reverend John Smith was buried at the Bethel Congregational Church in the same village.  I lived in that village up to my 18th year.
