I remember the Y. Bagh Khan building on Croal Street across from the big market. Downstairs was a store and upstairs was Nauth's Boarding House. I also remember the old man Y. Bagh Khan. His family hailed from Leguan.

How old was he? He was already an old man in the early eighties. He gave my dad his first break when he came to GT. I used to sit with him and listen to his many wonderful stories. He will be missed.

He had to be well into his 80's if not older.

Dad (my FIL) and him were good friends at Imdadul.

he was always trying to convince dad to learn to read Arabic (my FIL was illiterate until he was in his 40s when my MIL taught him to read & write the basics)

but Dad kept refusing saying his 'head too hard' and he too old.

Dad is 84!
He will miss Ustad.

He was 86...May Allah (swt) grant him jannatul firdous. It was through his efforts I began re-learning Arabic in the correct manner.
I met him again once in Canada about 5 years ago. A humble man. He will be missed.
