Watch Bollywood’s first stop-motion song: ‘Lip To Lip De Kissiyan’ has Imran, Kangana on kissing spree

Kissing in stop-motion looks way more fun than in a motion picture, as Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut patiently show us (and experience themselves) in the song ‘Lip To Lip De Kissiyan’ from the coming rom-com ‘Katti Batti’.
This is touted as the first song in Bollywood to have been shot with stop-motion technique. In this technique the subject moves a wee bit in every photographed frame. Different frames are put together sequentially on the editing table to create a dreamy illusion of movement.
The technique works well in the song ‘Lip To Lip’ which is essentially a mushy track about two lovers on a kissing spree.
Buzz is that Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut had to kiss about 8 hours per day for three days during the shoot of this song.
‘Lip To Lip’ is sung by Ritu Pathak and Nikhil D’Souza. The track is composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.
‘Katti Batti’ is a modern day romance that traces young architect Madhav Kabra’s (Imran Khan) love for the free-spirited Payal (Kangana Ranaut). They make for a perfect couple until a sudden turn of events creates an unanswered distance between them. What follows is a series of events that tests the fate of their relationship.
The film will release on September 18.
