1.  More poverty than other parts of the Caribbean.  Guyana ranks last using most indices of progress or consumption when compared to other parts of the English speaking Caribbean.  Virtually every one in Trinidad, Barbados, Antigua and St Kitts had indoor plumbing since the mid part of the last decade.  Care to furnish comparable stats for Guyana?  I know 10 years ago it was less than 50% of the population. 

2.  Receipts from gold and remittances leading to a real estate boom.

Now the PPP controls sugar and rice. The rice farmers are now up in arms against the PPP.  Guysuco on the brink of collapse.

Now tell me again the SPECIFIC actions of the PPP responsible for this economic boom?  It appears as if areas directly under their control seem not to be so happy!

Carib got you there.  However, even Indians going to the tiny Black islands, not just Blacks.  Part of it has to do with the value of the currency, as Guyana has the lowest value in Caricom.  If you make minimum wage in those countries, it's still better than being in the PPP's Guyana paradise.

In this the 21st century, we demand better.
