TNT was reporting that Game 3 of the Bulls/Heat series to be played in Chicago may see the return of Derrick Rose. With Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich also likely to return Miamai will see a different Bulls team. Chicago has already won a game on Miami's home court, and this team that stopped the Heat long winning streak knows how to play them.

The Eastern games are defensive slugfests and this will serve the Eastern Conference Champions well in the NBA Finals.Neither Miami or Mew York handled the Bulls well during the regular season. The Pacers are good, athletic and plays good defense, but they lack the experience to see them through. I'd prefer to see the Knicks play Miamai in the Finals than face the Bulls. And if Derrick Rose rounds into playoff shape, watch out.

That is not necessarily a given...do you think the Knicks will be better with Amare back?

As long as Amare's role is strictly a bench player with about 20 minutes a game he can only help. This guy was an All-Star and he knows how to finish around the basket. His weak defense and rebounding would not be a hinderance to the Knicks as if he were playing starter minutes.

The key to Miami is to take away their back-doors and cuts to the basket. Let LeBron go nuts as long as you keep their 3-point shooters in check. They are a fast defensive team but the Knicks are not prone to turnovers and have guys who can create shots on their own in Melo, JR and Raymond Felton. The Knicks got to take care of business first with the inexperienced Pacers.

Hinrich may not come back and Rose may be a question mark. Deng will help in Game 3 as well as the home crowd. Miami knows it's in a dog fight. Game 3 will be very interesting.

End of story.

You haven't read a word I posted, did you?

You probably did not look at last night's game either. Or you looked at it as a rabid fan.

I read everything you posted. I looked at the game. I just choose to live in reality instead of probabilities and in if/then scenarios.

FYI - Heat won again tonight. by 10. Even after they tried to beat up Bron. And I mean physically.

Ray, as a fan I want to believe the way you do, but the Knicks have to reverse some troubling trends.

If Tyson Chandler's bulging neck disc is bothering him, he should play limited minutes to make him more effective. Hibbard is clearly outplaying him and the Knicks are giving up way too many offensive rebounds.

JR is like John Starks redux (not our redux ). You do not know what you will get from him. That is because the head case part of his game chose the wrong time to show up. Too many late nights and the wrong approach to the playoffs - like telling the Celtics the Knicks would have swept them if he had played Game 4. See how Game 4 turned out.

Felton and Shumpert have given us more than they did in the regular season, but the stars failings (look at Melo's shooting percentage) are short-changing them. The playoffs are different from the regular season, and the Pacers defense has a lot to do with the stars' shooting percentages. Melo has to play money ball.

The Miami Heat has some good things happen to them. DWade's knees are holding up, for now at least. Russel Westbrook is done for the season. The Bulls would have taken them out with a healthy Rose, Deng and Hinrich. The Grizzlies might be the one to present the most challenge to them if the Knicks do not reverse their troubling playoff trends.

When Westbrook went down so too did OKC's chances of getting to the Finals. Memphis is too good for the Spurs/GS Warriors winner.

The Knicks will bow out in 5 and we'll have a hell of a series with Miami and the Pacers. If Miami were to repeat they would have gone through 2 HEALTHY, young and physical teams.
