Was about to visit here 2 years ago, but Covid got in the way. Still on my Bucket List.

As per History.com, itβs thought to have been where the elite of Inca society spent their summers; the settlement was abandoned after the Spanish destroyed the wider Inca culture in the 16th century. The ruins then stood in secret for centuries, known only to people living locally in the area.

My elder daughter was there last July spent 2 wks at a retreatβ¦on a farm. She picked pineapple n papaya from the tree n made chocolate from the cocoa picked from the far (ie She had a cooking lesson) , she enjoyed lying outside in a hammock!!
