Gilbakka, you felt you couldn't change the whites? I feel that you believe we Indians have to rise with our own grace facing inevitable discrimination. It's hard to believe that we don't deserve bad from those in control in this world. I believe the whites has an untold, untold to me, advantage in this world by using the spirit to be on top with the guidance of the devil. If I knew the truth of their deception, would they be in trouble? Or are the Jews the problem and they have no choice but to log on? What's the real problem, they don't want my illness to control them? Are they using gestures with the moon with the lunar calendar to control the physical environment, just to throw a curve at you? Ron, you're giving this old bai a headache with such hard questions. This is how I look at it: we 'Indians' left our homelands to settle in the white man's land. I for one never expected a white man in Canada to treat me as his equal and I don't have high expectations here. I came here to earn a decent living and I did that until early retirement at age 60.

Even while I was working with a serious heart problem, my wife and some Guyanese and Trini people were urging me to apply for disability benefit. I refused adamantly because I did not come to Canada to be a burden to the white people government. After my stroke at age 61 I still refused. I am contented to live on my small pension and my savings and I am not a financial burden even to my wife and son. I contribute my share of money to pay bills and buy my food and medicine. If I live past my 65th birthday in July my pension will increase and I am thankful. 

Ron, I tell you all these things to show that if you don't make demands on the white man in North America, and if you don't have high expectations or a sense of entitlement, you can still have a decent and peaceful and blessed existence. Don't stress your brain out, Ron. Pray and thank God that you can still wake up every day and fire up your PC and write whatever your creative imagination generates, whether your books sell or not.

I agree with Gilly about expectations in general. Expectations can lead to disappointments. Too many times we set these expectations, especially on others and they mostly lead to disappointments, discontentment or even anger. Live life each day and enjoy their moments. In the end one will look back at all the seemingly insignificant moments with wonderful memories and appreciations. I live my life each day at a time. Not so long ago, my living heart was sitting on a doctor's table for several hours before he put it back into my body. Many people don't live to say that. Forget all the bullshit and enjoy life. Bullshit was made to mess up peoples' lives. White people are no different from non-white. Take it from one who has permeated their deep inner selves.   Only difference is that they are not as brigah as Indians.   Give each one the respect they deserve and keep on living you live the best possible way.
