Deepika Padukone Dominates The Bollywood Awards Season

By IndiaTimes | January 15, 2014, 11:42 am IST

Having delivered four back-to-back mega hits in 2013, Deepika Padukone is clearly the front-runner for all the Best Actress trophies this awards season.

At the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards, Deepika has been nominated in the Best Actor-Female category for her performances in Chennai Express and Ram Leela.

In other award functions too, Deepika leads the Best Actress race, and has been nominationed for at least two of her three blockbusters (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and Ram Leela).

From being written off as 'just another pretty face' to becoming the reigning queen of BTown, Deepika has surely come a long way in the last six years.

Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with SRK’s Om Shanti Om. This year she will reunite with her Om Shanti Om team for the Diwali release Happy New Year.
