The chair puts it in writing, she is NOT authorized to declare the election void was in fact all that she needs to do to put Dr Irfaan in the presidential seat.

I am sorry but Irfaan Ali is too heavy for an old woman to lift. Bro, let the process continue to its final stage, and when she announces that the PPP wins let Irfaan swear in as president.

Several private garbage disposal vehicles were in the Camp Street compound of the GRA where they were loaded with documents and taken to the Eccles dumpsite under escort by GRA ranks and offloaded. We are calling on the Guyana Police Force to investigate this matter.
We reiterate our earlier call on the Guyana Police Force to take action to prevent the theft and/or destruction of assets of the state in keeping with a commitment given by the Police Commissioner during a meeting with a delegation of party officials.

We urge the Guyana Police Force to take condign action against those who seek to divide our people along ethnic lines, spread fear, and promote violence. Over the past few days there has been a plethora of videos and posts on social media in which the aforementioned is taking place; we, therefore, call for stringent action to be taken against the perpetrators.

We also call on the Police to take action to prevent the theft and/or destruction of assets of the state. This is in keeping with a commitment given earlier by the Police Commissioner during a meeting with a delegation of party officials

Nope.

Well I am.

Like I've said earlier this week, the Chairwoman has to rely on the CEO and his report to make a declaration. Everyone in the PPP/C was quick to run with the "results of the recount" to mean all tabulated votes. But of those tabulated votes, the CEO determined that many were not valid.

"Ascertain", under the same Section 96 of the Act, gives room for discretion. It is defined as "find (something) out for certain; make sure of."

Tomorrow will be more crucial than ever.

And this person came from your camp.

Were they quick to call for similar action when your own people attacked children and police officers? Heh.

Only valid votes were tabulated and certified  during the 33-day Recount Exercise.  Lowenfield cannot declare anything other than valid votes. The instruction is very clear from the Chairwoman. The Recount figures. Did you miss the letter.

I saw the alleged letter. "Results of the recount" will still need to be "ascertained", leaving discretion to Mr. Lowenfield on what is considered valid under Section 96 of the Act.

Lowenfield has to act in accordance with the constitution and laws of Guyana. Based on the Statements of Recount and Certificates of District Tabulation, only valid votes were tabulated and certified during the Recount Exercise. When the Chair ordered Lowenfield to produce a report, it was based logically on the calculations of the valid votes cast. Currently, the only valid votes cast are those that came out of the recount in all 10 regions. Below will give you a guidance what is valid votes. Misinformation is very dangerous. Ask your leaders for their SOPs and show us. See yah tomorrow, class dismiss for the night.

Joe Harmon press conference is more political than the willingness to accept the election result. In my opinion, if we can't win the election, we should have a fresh election to buy time in two years. I can't accept Harmon's public statements as valid if the Coalition govt cannot mention or accept Mingo's fraud that aimed to benefit APNU/AFC. "Fraud is Fraud" but don't bury the biggest fraud that warrants the recount. Granger said repeatedly that he will accept the election results, but he and his supporters were celebrating victory off Mingo's declaration twice. Something is fishy here.

Dave, what is the cache of arms is intended for? There are three things to consider. 1. to actually use them. 2. for intimidation. 3. for armed robberies.

Why do you ask that sthupit question? When people accrue all those weapons, it's not for intimidation. Isn't using them for armed robberies the same as "to actually use them"?

Jumbo Jet guns seized; one arrested after viral ‘threat’ video

A Jumbo Jet business Office on Smyth Street a stone’s throw from the Brickdam Police Station

Police Detective from the Criminal Investigations Department Major Crimes Unit aided by colleagues from the Brickdam Police Station have arrested 26-year-old Jermaine Kingston, an employee of the Jumbo Jet Auto Sales and several guns belonging to the company were have since been seized.

Arrested: Jermaine Kingston

The arrest and seizure come hours after a video that went viral on social reportedly directed to the Coalition Government on threats should they fail to give get out of office and give up the election which they seem to have lost based on the National Vote recount.

BIG Smith News Watch has been able to gather from reliable police sources that up to the time of this reporting being published, all the guns which were seen in the video were not yet in the custody of the police.

Further to that, the police were still trying to ascertain if they were all enforced, that is to say if all the guns which were seen in the video had the necessary licenses enforced. There was also no clarity u to the time of this publication that could prove if the young man who was arrested was a supernumerary constable, licensed to carry arms and ammunition, and if so; if his license was enforced at the time.

“Following the circulation of the video above on social media today in which a cache of firearms was on display and also in which threats of violence were made, the Guyana Police Force promptly commenced a thorough investigation. So far investigators have arrested a 26-year-old male and seized a number of firearms belonging to a security firm a further update will follow” the police force said in a statement this afternoon.

Over time, security guards who are entrusted to carry arms and ammunition on behalf of companies in the execution of their duties have been found to be improperly handling the weapons.

While some are seen on video discharging round into the air, others are seen drawing their weapons without reasonable cause.

Just two months ago, there was also a Facebook between operatives of two security services in an interior location where they were arguing over land claims. In that video, weapons were set at ready and pointed to each other.

The police got involved in that matter but to date, they have refused to return to provide any update on the status quo of that investigation.Source
