Run six miles every morning, end your run with a 30 minute calisthenics workout.

i don't have time to go out so i run on the spot in the bathroom - 800 to 1000 steps, i do some free arm exercises and 10 squats to finish off. i just started the exercise part though.

3 days so far...how many steps is equivalent to a mile?

I have no idea but running on the spot is not the same because of lack of resistance etc. I stopped running a long time ago but it's one of the best exercises for losing weight... if your joints can stand the pounding. Otherwise a bike is good enough.
BTW.. white flour is worse than rice. You're better off giving up flour and eating a little brown rice.
I try to eat only whole wheat flour and brown rice.. and not that much of either.

not the parboiled brown rice that guyanese usually cook.

you have to cook it a lil longer...but the stuff is really good.....for whatever reason it is less starchy.
I do.. been using it for a while now and find it difficult to go back to white rice.

whole wheat is better than white flour.... but brown rice is better than any wheat flour. Wheat isn't compatible with many people. You'll know if you're bloated after a meal and how long it takes to digest.
Sorry to hear about your pains... biking probably best thing then.

I had one .. a small manual one.. great workout. Needed the space and had to throw it. One of the bigger ones is on my wish list for the new house... plus a universal weight machine. Gonna get buffed in my ole age.

I will be doing some work on the house before the yr is finished so I'll probably have space for one of them then.

Don't worry about running. You need to walk 3miles every other day - or every day if you can.

Weight loss is effective when you adjust your eating.

25% of exercise is attributed to weight loss

75% is what you eat.

adjust your eating, work out moderate but consistent and you will see massive results.

Good Luck.

And P.S. take off my blasted avatar and get your own. Big Grin Big Grin

Carbs should be eaten ONLY in the morning and try to keep that every other day if you can. Dinner should be small and light.

Eat lots of green veggies, cut out starch/carbs, 7ozs protein and lots of water. I did that for 5 weeks, lost 22lbs. Good luck.

Everything has carbs, therefore you cannot cut out all carbs. If you crash diet the weight will only come back on when you resume your normal eating habits.

If you would like to lose weight and keep it off, you need to establish a routine eating and exercising schedule, always keeping in mind that everything in moderation is the best diet regimen.

Don't be ridiculous! Guyana has the most fresh of produce! Try not to eat refined foods such as: white sugar, white flour, white rice. As much as you can manage, brown sugar, rice, and bread. Unprocessed everything...and lots of greens, moderate protein, fish and little carbs.

Do not attempt to tell me you cannot do that. Because if you do not try to buy the good items there is no point in dieting. Continue eating garbage.

I don't eat fish, not much fruits either.

Here's what I'm doing so far:

Breakfast - whole wheat bread, tennis roll or biscuit with saussage (max 180 cal), tea/coffee no milk or sugar

Lunch - same as breakfast most days with either a cup of dhal.

Sometimes I would eat a puri or a very small portion of rice with chicken curry or some vegetable (this is like once per week)

Dinner - boil provision (plantain, sweet potato, potato, eddo) or whole wheat roti with some type of chicken stew/curry.

I drink about 3 to 4 cups of tea during the day - no milk and sugar

I will stick to this as much as possible only weekends I'll relax a bit.

sometimes I would use chowmein (chinese mostly) to replace one of the lunch or dinner.

Holy Shit Bannaz! No wonder you cannot lose weight!

Be hard ears and do not listen to me then.

If you don't work out half those calories you put in, you have no business injesting them in the first place.

Pick sense from nonsense please! A tennis roll has to be about 200 calories if not more, add the saugage and your over 300.

If you eat that again for lunch your doomed.

Provision is not the thing you want to eat and how many roti's do you eat? What is the size of the roti? Trini style large or small?

Diet takes discipline and self control to keep up with. Many people start a mini diet to shed off the extra pounds gained over the winter season and stop. If you're really over weight, you need to eat less, drink plenty liquid and exercise. I don't recommend pills or any internal diet supplements. If you keep in line with your BMI, you'll do fine.
