with regards to bills payment...
i am looking at all of my last bills and paying the same amount
it is everyone's responsibility to pay their bills on time (no excuse if you don't get a bill because of the strike).....or you will get late-payment/interest charges.

No mail srvice so you can't receive any late payment mail.
If anybody call you, tell them the check is in the mail.

Quick question - nobody does online bill pay?
I honestly don't know the last I use the postal service. Maybe that is why the USPS is in shambles. People like me

Even the Post Office have online bill pay.
Sending a check through the Post Office is dangerous anyway. Too many West Indians work there now!

I do but usually you are reminded by the monthly statements because the amounts always varies so its not (all) automatic withdrawal with the exception of the CC ...however my Macy's bill has to be done though money order and mail sooooooo that one is gonna have to wait ..oh well ...

Thanks, Cher
I receive most of my billing statements electronically. No paper.... with the exception of my utility bills - water and electricity.

can you make a payment at Macy's directly? I know I have done that while I'm at the store.

i pay all of my bills through on-line banking.
some of them are also pre-authorized payment.....so these ones i don't have to worry about.
but....as Cger saud,,,,i still get all of my bills/statements via mail....haven't gone paperless as yet, but maybe it is time. even though i am actually one of those peeps who like to keep hard copy of the bills.
so since i won't be getting my bills via post, it is still my responsibility to make sure that they are paid on time.
the utilities companies have ads on the radio to that effect.
bills have to be paid on time....or you will be charged interest.

You should be able to print your statement online to keep on file, no?
So the postal service is on strike? (sorry I think I missed the reason )

yes Riya.....canada post workers were playing the fool so they were 'locked out'!!
anyway....with fax and scan and e-mail and courier.... it is business as usual most places!!
individuals who are not into computers are the ones mostly affected.
funny though....but i haven't heard too much complain from joe public!!

Thats because the main things are being delivered...Goverment Cheques lol...
But all jokes aside...they (PW) are digging a deeper hole for a dying service due to technology
What do you want to bet when they do go back to work it would be 3 days a week, then 2...etc..

I guess a lot of people can function without the post office. The workers shouldn't be making too much style!

Soon the Canadian public will go postal!
