Neither the Mongols or Mohguls forced Islam to be the dominant religion in Mongolia their common homeland of origin.  Even today Islam is a minority religion in Mongolia. Yet in the lands that the Mongols and Mohguls conquered they championed Islam to be a dominant religion in these lands.  Prashad does not understand why. Was the religion used a mechanism to ensure law and order together with helping the economic/social/political functioning of a conquered society and its  people?

I did not want to correct Kaz's mistake. I remember Bushmaster used to call himself a Tamil Tiger and insist he was not averse to dying for or like them. That fellow was truly a personality.
