Living by Faith

Do you struggle with doubts about God’s power? If so, the reason is probably because He hasn’t answered prayer as you expected. But that doesn’t prove He’s unable to do what you desire; it just demonstrates He had a different plan in mind. Living by faith isn’t a matter of expecting God to do what you want but of trusting Him to do what He desires.

Sometimes we may feel like the man in today’s story, whose son was possessed by an evil spirit. He struggled with doubts about Christ’s ability to heal people even though Jesus had repeatedly proven that He could. We can all identify with the father’s response, “I do believe; help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24).

At times even Christians experience some uncertainty regarding God’s ways, truth, or ability. Thankfully, when that happens He is gracious to us in our weakness. Yet lingering doubts can be a spiritual hindrance. Scripture says a doubter is “double-minded” and “unstable in all his ways” and should not expect to receive anything from the Lord (James 1:6-8).

To overcome doubts and walk confidently by faith, we must learn to know our Father’s character, ways, and desires through His Word. Then we will have a foundation for trust even when our requests seem unanswered.

How can you know God?

It all starts with accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ provides a relationship with the Father and eternal life through His death on the cross and resurrection, see Romans. 5:10.

Romans. 10:9 promises, "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." If you have not yet begun your personal relationship with God, understand that the One who created you loves you no matter who you are or what you’ve done. He wants you to experience the profound depth of His care.

Therefore, tell God that you are willing to trust Him for salvation. You can tell Him in your own words or use this simple prayer:

Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive my sins and save me from eternal separation from God. By faith, I accept Your work and death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sins. Thank You for providing the way for me to know You and to have a relationship with my heavenly Father. Through faith in You, I have eternal life. Thank You also for hearing my prayers and loving me unconditionally. Please give me the strength, wisdom, and determination to walk in the center of Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.

If you have just prayed this prayer, congratulations!

You have received Christ as your Savior and have made the best decision you will ever make—one that will change your life forever!

A Spirit-Filled Life

Which would you say is more difficult: teaching a Sunday school lesson or loving your enemies? Helping a neighbor or practicing patience with troublesome people? Doing a good deed or holding onto joy in a crisis? Most of us find the latter in each pair more challenging and less rewarding.

Today’s culture admires people who are action-oriented, and we tend to adopt the same standard in the church. There’s an assumption that individuals who are doing the most are the ones filled with the Spirit, but this is not automatically true. Accomplishments do not equal spiritual maturity. The true measure of the Spirit’s control is character, not abilities or achievements.

Though good works and spiritual gifts are God-given avenues for our service, the Holy Spirit is also at work, bringing about spiritual fruit in our life. His goal is an internal transformation whereby Jesus’ character qualities are reproduced in us. Without the fruit described in Galatians 5:22-23, all our efforts at service are worth nothing.

A Spirit-filled life is most readily visible in Christ-like attitudes and interactions with others. As we yield ourselves to His authority and allow God’s Word to dwell richly within our being, He will transform us.

As I believe that Paul, a Sadducee, never met Jesus anywhere, don't waste your time sending your ignorant messages to me! Jesus WARNED against the Sadducees! You love Paul, go look for your fellow believers in Paul's horseshit!

Because of Paul and his dupes, like you, Jesus' God, a Spirit (see John 4: 24), was conflated with the 'god' of the Old Testament or Pentateuch of the Jews! Go read Exodus Chapters 25, 30, 31, and decide if this was really Jesus' God or an alien, who killed people! Jesus' God IS a Spirit or Intangible Living Energy out of whom ALL the intangible living energies, such as us and ALL life, and ALL the tangible latent energies, such as our bodies and ALL matter, come! Even the alien as Jesus reminded him (Matthew 4: 10)!

Jesus visited me as spirit to warn me the left fibula I was limping on, had been really damaged again by criminals, by squeezing on the area of the first break! I still have a constant reminder that he is still with me! If he had assumed a bodily form I wouldn't have recognized him and would have been alarmed and demanded to know what he was doing in my home at 5 o'clock in the morning!

I don't care whether you believe me or not! Just stop sending me Paul's horseshit!

Agreed?

Is Peace Possible in Bad Times?

Contrary to popular belief, peace is not attained by manipulating circumstances. People think that if they could just rearrange their situation—find a new job, overcome depression, stop a spouse from filing for divorce—then life would be wonderful. But that kind of self-reliance is both misleading and unbiblical. We might arrive at a temporary calm, but fixing a problem outside of the Lord’s will won’t provide lasting peace.

The truth is, God’s peace is available no matter how painful and hopeless your situation seems. A tranquil heart comes from trusting Him. Though warning that believers would have trouble on this earth, Jesus assures us that He has overcome the world. In other words, we can have peace in the midst of our trials because the Lord walks alongside us. Our relationship with Christ provides all we need to face difficulty—including courage, wisdom, guidance, and comfort.

Jesus promised peace for those who trust in Him, and He delivers on His promises. Our part is to take one day at a time and believe that He will carry us through. Our Father wants to see us demonstrate faith; we can depend on Him to meet our needs and bestow the divine peace that surpasses all comprehension (Phil. 4:7).

Hey Shallv, a pleasant morning to you and thanks for the comment. Sorry for the tardy reply.

Before I addressed your statement, just a few things to point out. If you are aware of Judaism then you would know Paul was a Pharisee and not a Sadducee. On a side note, reference to, "Jesus' God, a Spirit (see John 4: 24), was conflated with the 'god' of the Old Testament or Pentateuch of the Jews!". Read Genesis 1:26, Genesis 18, John 8:57-58 and now read John 10:30.

Now let us dive into your comments above concerning Paul, the great apostle who consistently focused his evangelistic efforts on convincing people that Jesus was the promised Messiah of Israel as well as the risen Lord and Savior of the Gentiles. The unique identity of Jesus was at the center of Paul's theology.

Had the future apostle ever seen or heard Jesus in person? While we lack any direct evidence, there are several considerations that may favor the idea that Paul had possibly seen Jesus prior to the crucifixion. First, Paul had been a resident of Jerusalem as a child (Acts 22:3) and was also there years later to approve of Stephen's stoning (Acts 8:1). The presence of Paul's nephew in Jerusalem after Paul's conversion (Acts 23:16) suggests that Paul and his family had resided there for some time. Jesus was known to have visited Jerusalem (Mark 11:11; John 2:13; 5:1). It is quite possible that Paul could have seen Jesus or heard Him speak during one of Jesus' several trips there.

Second, Paul's devotion to the Law would have provided him motivation to be present in Jerusalem during Passover, a time where both he and Jesus would have been in close proximity. Third, as a Pharisee, Paul would have been keenly interested in the teaching of a popular, if unconventional, rabbi. As Paul told Herod Agrippa, the things Jesus did were "not done in a corner" (Acts 26:26). Fourth, in one of Paul's epistles, the apostle hints that he may have had a pre-conversion acquaintance with Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:16), although his statement is far from conclusive.

None of these considerations above in any way establish that Paul had seen or heard Jesus personally prior to His atoning death at Calvary. We cannot say for sure whether or not Paul had ever met Jesus.

Of course, Paul did encounter the Lord Jesus on the Damascus Road after Christ's resurrection. While Jesus' appearance to Paul may have been different in character from Christ's pre-ascension appearances, this encounter with Paul was no merely subjective vision, as both Jesus' voice (Acts 9:7) and the bright light (Acts 22:9) were perceived by Paul's traveling companions. The Lord chose Paul to proclaim His name to both Gentiles and the children of Israel (Acts 9:15). Paul later underwent intense persecution for the gospel of Christ (Acts 14:19; 2 Corinthians 11:25–26). It was in part through his tireless efforts that the gospel of grace spread throughout the Mediterranean world.

You known Shallyv, Christianity and Judaism are likely the most similar. You and I both believe in one God who is almighty, omniscient, omnipresent, eternal, and We believe in a God who is holy, righteous, and just, while at the same time loving, forgiving, and merciful. We share the Hebrew Scriptures (the Old Testament) as the authoritative Word of God, although Christianity includes the New Testament as well. Both Christianity and Judaism believe in the existence of heaven, the eternal dwelling place of the righteous, and hell, the eternal dwelling place of the wicked.

The all-important difference between Christianity and Judaism is the Person of Jesus Christ. Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies of a coming Messiah / Savior (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; Micah 5:2). Judaism often recognizes Jesus as a good teacher, and perhaps even a prophet of God. Judaism does not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Taking it a step further, Christianity teaches that Jesus was God in the flesh (John 1:1,14; Hebrews 1:8). Christianity teaches that God became a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ so He could lay down His life to pay the price for our sins (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21), the sacrificial Lam(Jesus Christ). Judaism strongly denies that Jesus was God or that such a sacrifice was necessary. Question, Shallyv, are you still offering up sacrifices of bulls, lambs, turtle doves etc. to the God you serve?

Jesus Christ is the all-important distinction between Christianity and Judaism. The Person and work of Jesus Christ is the one primary issue that Christianity and Judaism cannot agree upon. In Matthew 15:24, Jesus declared, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The religious leaders of Israel in Jesus’ time asked Him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus replied, 'I am,' ... And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven" (Mark 14:61-62). But they didn’t believe His words or accept Him as the Messiah.

Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Hebrew prophecies of a coming Messiah. Psalm 22:14-18 describes an event undeniably similar to Jesus’ crucifixion, "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted away within me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death. Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." Clearly this messianic prophecy can be none other than Jesus Christ whose crucifixion fulfilled each of these details (Luke 23; John 19).

The Apostle Paul, a Jew and a strict adherent of Judaism, encountered Jesus Christ in a vision (Acts 9:1-9) and proceeded to become the greatest witness for Christ and the author of almost half of the New Testament. Paul understood the difference between Christianity and Judaism more than anyone else. What was Paul’s message? "I am not ashamed of the gospel (of Jesus Christ), because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile" (Romans 1:16).

I am very simple, I believe that Christ came from heaven sent from God, perfect just as God. Him and God are similar in thoughts. Where he says I and my father are one.

Reading the Book of Enoch, settled it all for me. Lately, I have been following the history of the Oghuz ppl of the Steppe. Interesting, there Islamic views, there is alot of Enoch's writings on how they describe their faith.

Those three metals have many things in common, and viewing their physical commonalities can explain why these metals go together in Bible typology. Each one exhibits the necessary elements of salvation that made it possible for us to be in contact with God.

Gold, silver, and copper/brass are the first three on the list of seven metals of antiquity as they are the first three to be discovered from a human history perspective, and relative to this, they are native metals.

The tabernacle has its roots in the very first tabernacle of the garden in Eden.

They are all three known as group eleven elements and appear together vertically on the periodic table of elements. They are understood to be transition metals that form a bridge between two sides of the periodic table.

These metallic elements will illustrate for us how God bridged the gap between heaven and earth, that sin created, through His Son Jesus.

Only gold, silver, and copper qualify as genuine, noble metals based on their electron structure, making them resistant to corrosion and oxidation. Although silver and copper can tarnish in color, this process does not break down the metals themselves. Tarnish is simply a reactive coating on the surface.

The tabernacle concerns connection with eternal and unchanging things.

These three also are noted for their antimicrobial features that resist both bacteria and viruses.

Contact with God is cleansing and healing. It is interesting that when Moses destroyed the golden calf, he burnt it, ground it to powder, put it in water, and made the children of Israel drink it. With its germ-fighting qualities, this could have been a remedial prescription for possible infectious conditions that may have occurred when they "rose up to play" before their self-created god.

All three are ductile, which means they can be stretched into a thin wire as well as malleable.

Contact with God through His prescribed system will soften us and make us pliable in His hands.

All three are excellent conductors of heat and electricity.

Contact with God includes power that we cannot generate nor produce in and of ourselves.

Reading just a little bit into these natural properties of metal gives us a glimpse of heavenly, eternal, and spiritual illustrations that we will look at more specifically with each metal.

@Former Member: What is your understanding of the Exodus 30-31? Still waiting to hear. Sure God could have provided those metals himself.

Food for thought: God is calling us to obedience and relationship with him through obedience. By obeying his call we learn more about him and can grow in understanding of his heart and desires for our lives. Obedience also leads to personal growth.

Keith

On second thought, let me give you the short version. Interestingly, in John 4:24 Jesus makes the connection between God being spirit and worshiping Him in spirit and in truth. The idea is that, since God is spirit, people must worship Him accurately (in truth) and in spirit (with their soul or heart), as opposed to relying on traditions, rituals, and physical locales.

Keith
@Keith posted:
What's does John 4:24 s ay? Do you understand what it's saying?

God is a Spirit and so are you. Allow me to explain, please! I am irreligious and consider ALL religion as nonsense! However, I believe in Jesus' definition of God as given in the Gospel according to John, Chapter 4, Verse 24: God is a Spirit, or Intangible Living Energy, out of whom ALL the intangible living energies such as us and ALL life, and ALL the tangible latent energies such as our bodies and ALL matter, come! And we, intangible living energies, realizing that we are such, and that God is the Source of our being such, we must worship God, Intangible Living Energy, by being truthful, for out of God can only come TRUTH or REALITY, not untruth or unreality! Energy is neither created nor destroyed! Whatever is, was, and will always BE! There is NO death, just a separation of the spirit or intangible living energy from its tool, tangible latent energy, the body, matter! ALL is experience, whether personally acceptable or not, whether in this physical world of matter or in the world of energy or spirit!! The only change is the choice of matter, in this world of matter, for new experiences, according to the experiences desired! Jesus NEVER started ANY religion! He taught TRUTH not religion! 'Christianity' was Paul's creation to corrupt Jesus' teachings! Better corrupt than persecute, especially when you can't find them to persecute! Paul was a Pharisee, a materialist, just like the Zionist Jews of today! Jesus spoke against the Pharisees, calling then 'children of their father' the devil (an alien! Read Exodus 30 and 31 and decide for yourself if this was God)! Paul was born before Jesus! Why didn't he persecute Jesus' followers when Jesus was alive? Because he feared Jesus' powers and the people who followed Jesus! People who hate ALL Jews are mistaken. There are thousands, maybe millions, of Jews who are against the Zionists, even in Israel! I believe that those Jews who were killed in the Holocaust were against the Zionists' plans so they left them to the criminal Nazis! The Nazis killed all they could find as they trusted NO Jew! I could tell you more but only if you're interested!

The Source of Peace

Did you know God offers serenity of heart to all believers? The Holy Spirit, who lives inside every follower of Jesus, can keep peace flowing like sap from a vine to its branches. But sadly, this internal wellspring of calm is overlooked by many Christians because of several false assumptions.

Some wrongly think that peace is the result of perfect conditions, but this world is broken. That means we will never achieve an ideal existence on this earth, and its circumstances cannot yield serenity.

Others believe peace must be requested from God, who seems far away in the heavens. But the union between the Lord and His followers is intimate. Tranquility is available to us immediately from Christ because He lives within us.

The Living Bible paraphrase captures how our relationship with Jesus should look: “And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him, too, for each day’s problems; live in vital union with him. Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him” (Col. 2:6-7).

Serenity is a direct result of a relationship with Jesus Christ. No outside situation can tamper with that connection—we partake of Jesus’ abundant life through His Holy Spirit.

Yes, I would believe the words written in the Bible over 2000+ years then to believe words coming from your mouth.

Why? Those words in the Bible are infallible, it's been tested time and time again, your visitation, probably from the prince of this world. You probably cannot discern what's right and wrong, you seem too blinded by your Jewish believes and have a fouled mouth, your Rabbi should smack some sense into you.

Think how idiotic your comment sound for a minute, "Jesus visited me as spirit to warn me my left fibula had been damaged again by government criminals" Most likely if Jesus visited you he probably say these words to you, "it's hard to kick against the pricks"

Have you given thought about that hindrance being placed in your life? You know perhaps you and Paul might have something in common after all. Think about it.
