I was in Leguan 3 years ago. Several houses are shuttered. The place was flooded. The roads were bad. They were having electricity problems. But it is a nice place. Ramotar was supposed to visit but he had not gone.
They always go at election time.
That banner shows continuous progress in education. Priya Manickchand must be proud of those guys.
Who needs to know how to spell? We have a Bharriott!
Remember, the Fat One said we don't have universal high school education.
They could have missed Leguan - a little hard to get there.
From a political election campaign stand point, this is great for the PPP.
The average voter in Guyana is probably not able to spell "continuous" correctly.
So what do we have here? A misspelt word on a homemade banner carried by local villagers. Good sign for a PPP victory all around I'd say.
Ayuh Coalition brite bais will do well to take note. Ordinary people run and win national elections everywhere but especially in Guyana.
If this was a Coalition banner I'd be worried for the PPP.
Just like most stupid Guyanese, they argue about spelling, and not what the word means.

Like your continual drunkenness.
If you can't spell properly then you can't read properly. And that's the main reason why Guyana is still being run under a now discredited constitution. The PPP lacks the education skills to devise a new constitution. When the minister for education can't even justify her position in an educated way the country is stuffed.

Let me revisit this matter. For the past 22+ years the PPP regime has boasted consistently about investing heavily in the education sector. What are the results? The litmus test is the level of functional literacy in the society. Correct spelling in everyday life is part and parcel of functional literacy.
These youngsters holding up the banner are beneficiaries of the PPP's schooling. Doesn't it alarm you that they are proudly championing their PPP benefactor by showing an inability to spell correctly? Are they expected to submit badly spelt words in tests by telling the examiner "dont worry about spelling, worry about what the word means"?
Is this the kind of mediocrity that pleases the PPP?

Gilly, you think Americans can spell or write proper grammar? Think again. Look at how much is invested in education and early childhood education. Only the rich suburbs have a good high school and college graduation rate. The rich folks!!!
Americans can indeed spell and they do use proper grammar. Maybe where you live Americans don't spell properly and use proper grammar.
