We all saw the collapse of the economy pre OBama ( McCain took of from campaigning to "fix" it), the attempts to stop the blood letting by Paulson with a three page demand for a trillion dollars.

Obama came in when obver 2 million jobs were gone and the economy was hemorrhaging 700k jobs a month after being hit by the 18 wheeler of he bush policies. Flattened and left mortally wounded on the on the pavement he had to, as any triage physician must, stabilize the patient and then act to address the wounds. The patient is in healing.

This is the worse depression since the Great depression and in magnitude worse in instance. It took the economy over a decade then of interventionist  policies to rehabilitate it. Obama has only been in office 3 years.

What does Romney offer id not the failed Bush methodology of less tax for the rich and cutting back on social services no to mention infringing on the rights of the women to earn fair wages and even more, have real input on decision making on their bodies.

It is certainly a fact that the AFC was able to weakened the position of the PPP/Civic government by helping to deny them a majority in parliament. The PPP now finds itself in a position where it cannot pass any legislation on its own. The question is which party's position has been strenghtened?  The truth is that the PNC has finally gotten a breather after 20 years and they are capitalizing on as much as possible. They see light at the end of the tunnel. Violent campaigns like t "mo fiah, slow fiah" and the "Buxton terror" could not help them in this fashion. It suddenly happened with the help of the AFC.  All smiles on Granger's face. A new day is dawning for the PNC with the advent of the AFC. AFC battles will have one and only one beneficiary, and that's the people who once governed with an Iron Fist, the People's National Congress.

Core members, since 1958, have a firm grip on the PNC.

It will take an extremely long time for you to understand simple things.

 As I noted many times; the PPP cannot wear the history of the PNC as a protective political amulet to keep them in office. There comes a time when they have to perform rather than still see their enemy  standing on the sidewalk in the rear view mirror. They are instead gaining a reputation as irredeemably corrupt, woefully incompetent and intransigent in their racism.

Most of the electorate do not know the PNC does not care for scare tactics and want real tangible policies that show democracy at work. The only model they have is divided government. If the combined opposition is able to revoke the prohibition to after the elections coalitions, smaller parties composing of different groups can be formed and make a difference. It only takes 7000 votes on average to win a seat. In 8, 9, 3 etc it takes even less than half of that.

We want divided government until such time we can reform the constitution and electoral system to include direct representation and devolution to local communities through direct representation. Until such time, no PPP in office as a majority ever!

One thing is clear, if that is what you can present as "evidence", easy slogans rather than sense from the republicans, then you lose. He will win black votes, Educated white votes, women and Hispanics handily.  He has to increase his numbers among demographics as eastern Pennsylvanian but those have no place to go.  Romney offers nothing

You will give us the same old mantra - lower taxes and get government out of the way and the economy will grow and jobs will come back?

Obama HAS lowered taxes in his 3½ years, and HAS reduced government. Numbers don't lie.

You need to be educated on recovery after a financial crisis is not like the recovery Reagan had. You have to understand that 2008 was a double-whammy crisis - credit AND housing. You need to learn that job losses are a deep structural phenomenon that started decades ago. You need to open your eyes to the growing entitlement part of the population has a lot to do with kicking out a good number of Americans from the production sector of the population. You have to remember that Bush took the war costs off the books ($2 trillion) and sent the debt up to the a good portion of the level you see it at now. Remember how many jobs were being lost monthly before Obama had a chance to sip coffee in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave?

That's probably true. Romney still has the benefit of relative "unknowness." But Americans have been through 12 years of hell -- first with Bush, and then with Obama, for whom they voted simply because they thought he was not Bush (but they were wrong,) -- and they may likely get another four years of hell with Romney, whom they will choose simply because they think he's not Obama (wrong again.)

Under the Obama Presidency, more private sector jobs have been created than in the entire 8 years of the Bush Presidency, and this, in a time of global recession. Bush had the two wars as a stimulus package without paying for it.

Being counted as a food-stamp recipient is a function of a family's income level. A President doesn't legislate people onto the food-stamp club. Now ask who sent all those families' bread-winners into poverty and thus be counted as food-stamp recipients. Remember the close to 1 million job losses per month in the last months of Bush and the first 3 months of Obama before he could shoot his first hoop on the White House court?

* Obama has piled on 5 trillion in debt

To save a financial system that defrauded more than that amount.

As John Podhoretz argues persuasively, Obama seems unable to make a case for why he should be re-elected, as Reagan, Clinton and Bush 43 did. Simply being Barack Obama, the personification of people's vague dreams, is no longer enough.

 

Obama's rambling, responsibility-dodging address in Minnesota showed that while his beautiful words may have been ideally fitted for the 2008 election, speechifying not do it this time around. Contrast it with Romney's relentless hammering of his jobs message on CBNC shortly beforehand and you can see why more thoughtful Democrats are getting very, very concerned.

BOTTOM LINE:

Obama will lose in November for precisely the same reason Carter and Bush1 lost---the economy is in the crapper and he is absolutely incapable of doing anything positive about it.

Did Obama create the phony currency called the Euro? Did he send America to unnecessary war in Iraq and Afganistan? Did Obama cause the subprime crisis? Tell me in plain terms what has he done wrong?

Obama didn't create the Euro, but he has insisted that the gambling debts be bailed out, instead of eliminated in an orderly reorganization. He didn't start the unnecessary wars in Iraq and Afghanistan -- he started the one in Libya and threatens to start one in Syria. He didn't start the "subprime crisis" -- there really isn't a "subprime crisis," it's a  "derivatives crisis," and he refuses to change the policy which got us into it. Obama has perpetuated every rotten policy from Bush, and added some of his own (since you asked what he has done wrong): He has become the first President to claim the authority to order assassinations of US citizens without trial, and he has become the first President to defy the War Powers Act and claim the authority to start wars without the consent of Congress.

Not that Romney would be any better. Our best hope is an open Democratic Convention where a different candidate can be found to replace Obama.

If that is not a sign for a coming depression then I don't know what is.
