* We had a blackout in the entire Northeast of the United States back in August 2003.
* No electricity and no water for 2 days in New York City.
* TORTURE for 2 days.
* 45 million people in 8 states in the North East and 10 million people in Ontario were affected.
* Hope electricity is restored soon for you folks in Canada.
* It will feel like heaven when the light comes back on again---the most beautiful thing you will ever see----a light bulb.

Hope allyu ok, in this cold icy season. Power still down I hear.
Lots of babies will be conceived.
Place dark! Daddies have to be careful of infiltrators sneaking in the bedroom!
Pray that all of you stay safe and get back to some comfort soon.

Hmmmm! I like your thinking---lively, spirited, venturesome, salacious---did I miss anything ?

Our daughter got stranded for three hours and now missed her flight in Miami. And her birthday is tomorrow. She not a happy camper right now.

Pedestrians walk under a large tree that fell on Chester Street in Toronto on Dec. 22, 2013 early Sunday morning the ice storm. Approximately 250,000 people were without power after the storm.

Some carry generators, or backup batteries. Canada didn't seem prepared for ice storms. What will happen if a really heavy blizzard hit?

mall open for business, I got one generator in the store, might be sold soon too

TORONTO ICE STORM MAY LEAVE THOUSANDS IN THE DARK PAST CHRISTMAS
Toronto Hydro says most customers won't see power restored until the weekend after the worst ice storm to hit the city in recent memory left hundreds of thousands without power and caused chaos for commuters throughout the region.
Approximately 228,000 customers are still without power in Toronto, and Toronto Hydro says most people won't have their power restored until the weekend.

Sorry to hear about this situation. I hope everything gets back to normal pretty soon.
While removing the ice from my driveway I heard a crack and I yelled at my wife to ,move, a branch could be coming down and it sure did, darn thing barely missed me but the tip caught me under the eye, now wearing a Christmas shiner.
Our electricity was gone from about midnight Sat to 6am this morning (Mon)
The drive to and from work was bad, leaving for work at 630am with no streetlights nor traffic signals was no fun the drive home which is usually half an hour took me nearly two hours.
Cham and Cain, that's some rough driving.
Cain, thank goodness you were alert got your wife out of the way.

* Glad to know you're OK.
* Is it true the major has been showing good leadership ?
* But the news is not good for tens of thousands.
TORONTO â Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says hydro crews have restored electricity to 75,000 customers who lost power after a weekend ice storm wreaked havoc from southwestern Ontario to the Atlantic Coast. However, Toronto Hydro says some of the 219,000 without power may not see their electricity restored until the weekend.

I just figured it'll be like camping in the winter so I brought out my camping gear (coleman stove and pots) for cooking and that's how I made breakfast, lunch and dinner on Sunday

He got on the radio and spoke to the people and he did it well, he did not falter nor said "ahhh" Ammmm" with every few words as the acting Mayor did.
Doan know if that shows leadership though.
I heard the Toronto Mayor was seen smiling then trying to sniff the white stuff.
Hope all gets well in Canada soon. I can imagine the pain of living in such conditions, especially during Winter. We had it a Summer and even then it was bad.
