Not personally, but we did participate in protests to pressure Canadian officials in working with the Commonwealth in implementing free and fair elections in Guyana.

Jadgeo did kick him out of his office. These Guys will not rest until the PNC is returned to office since it now all about revenge and hate for the PPP.

Is there anything to cheer about? That the government is crooked is depressing enough. You kneebenders have nothing to cheer about either except the reflected glow of those Indo fat cats getting fatter with graft. Caribj is right. Despite its similar energy insufficiency, Jamaica has quite a consistent manufacturing base of some 9% of GDP that is more than two times what Guyana has and with more reasons to benefit from such a base.

RE: THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY IN GUYANA

Once hydro is developed manufacturing in the food processing sector will skyrocket---BOOM. There is immense potential for Guyana in food processing.

In the meantime carib---you are free to wallow in your pessimism---keep hoping and praying for Guyana to fail under the PPP----there is a 100% probability you will die with a broken heart----seeing continued progress in Guyana under the PPP will mentally torture you.

I see you refuse to respond to the fact that, even though Jamaica suffers from the same energy problem as Guyana does, they have a larger and more diversified manufacturing sector. I will also add that Jamaica's close proximity to the USA facilitate US products being dumped cheaply in that market. Guyana being further away suffers less as freight costs are higher.

Manufactured Jamaican exports (other than sugar and bauxite) accounted for US $500 million in 2011. Similar exports from Guyana accounted for a scanty US $50 million. Despite the fcat that our branded rum products are considered superior to Jamaica's their export acumen led to their rum exports dawarfing ours. Note that a huge % of our rum exports are raw spirits sold to the EU to be used as a base for their atrocious rums.

So run along with your manipulation of arithmetic and inability to look beyind surface data, to the point where you do not even understand the numbers that you post.

Grace has huge manufacturing activities in Jamaica and are a large buyer of food produced on that island.

Next time you rant and rave find better examples.

Now maybe Grace uses imported raw materials but its products are made in Jamaica, and in some instances, packaged in the USA because transporting canned products is expensive. Their revenues are huge and their constribution to Jamaica's exports are significant.

Now detail the Guyanese branded products which are as readily available as Jamaican brands are.

Now tell us which Guyanese product can I readily buy in NYC? Snd I do not mean in one or two outlets in RH.

The government has no vision on how to market the country in the international arena. All they are concerned about is stealing as much as they could to build a mansion.
