Slapman and Kickman coming to attack me? 

 

Kickman, I hear the Jets looking for a kicker next season. 

It is amazing where this topic has arrived at. But lost in all this back and forth of infidels, head bangers, batty boys, kickers, slappers, etc., we see the hypocrisy on so many as they express their rightful indignation over the terrorist attacks in Paris. Dead are 17 persons. There was a huge rally to honor them. No problem here because I agree with it. Rewind to Malaysia Airline MH17 shot down over Ukraine by non-Muslim rebels. 298 persons dead. Where is the indignation? Where is the rally honoring those lives and condemning those who shot it down? Who has vowed to rid the world of those people? So each of you as you indulge in your righteous indignation should invest in a mirror also.

Kszama I thought I would post the snowman story and lighten the mood a bit.

There are many other incidents which do not get the public support like this Paris incident even though they deserve it. The shooting down of the Malaysian Airlines plane is not one of those. It was widely condemned in Western circles since they were accusing Russia of aiding the rebels who are accused of doing the shooting.

Bai, I wish Muslims would ignore the cartoon. Firstly, that person indicated in the cartoon is not Muhammad. It is a depiction of the writers impression of Muhammad. It is also an incorrect depiction. Hopefully all Muslims will also acknowledge that. If Muhammad did not attack the woman for constantly throwing her garbage on him why should we? If Muhammad after being stoned to the point that he was bleeding heavily, when his companions advised him to ask God to curse them, said that he was not sent to curse but as a mercy, why should we be otherwise. No doubt the global image of Islam is very low but despite of all that, I am still happy to me a Muslim. That will never change. Hopefully those militant and crazy ones wake up and smell the coffee soon. Otherwise they will be no more than dead Muslims.

Did I miss the righteous indignation over it also? The million man rally in support of the victims? Maybe.

 

Now we have recovered the Air Asia flight recorder. Stay tuned. If it turns out that its downing was a result of some Muslim terrorists, we just may get the opportunity to compare the response to that versus the Malaysia one. Even here on GNI.

       
       
There was no million man rally but there was a very substantial uproar including more sanctions placed on Russia. I don't think the Air Asia flight is terrorism related because the pilots were caught in a very bad storm and were requesting permission to climb. However we'll know for sure when they analyze the flight data and voice recorders.
