Many moons ago when we lived in Briarwood, this Guyanese girl living in the same building came down to our apartment and tied a Rakhi on my hand. So I asked her if she knew I was muslim. She said yes but she needed an excuse to talk to me.

Chief,
Where did this come from? Is it in the Koran or is this something based on tradition because it was done by the Prophet?
I have Muslim family who did this but other family members oppose it...

The prophet specifically told his followers how their women should be dressed. And also told them who dey should marry. I guess Arabians need to be told the details of life. Backward ppl.
Somebody should send a memo to all Riff female cousins to run and hide.
