They are not fake. He is just looking at them with eyes of a simpleton. He believes in the sheep principle of voting in Guyana and despite the horrible state of corruption in the administration which the local people experience first hand they will follow the PPP to facilitate their own demise. He also misses the 100k who did not vote but accepts that they will break down similarly if they come in from the cold.

CHECK THIS FOLKS:

* 80% of East Indians voted for the PPP in 2011

* 12% of Blacks voted for the PPP in 2011

* 23% of Mixed races voted for the PPP in 2011

* 69% of Amerindians voted for the PPP in 2011

Rev

And how does that comport with the 51 % that did not vote for them? What is the point to be made with these plastering of numbers that is in the public domain?

FM

IF THE PPP RECEIVED 70% OF THE EAST INDIAN VOTES

HERE IS THE CALCULATION for what their overall percentage vote would have been:

(0.70*44) + (0.12*33) + (0.23*14) + (0.69*9) =

30.8 + 3.96 + 3.22 + 6.21 = 44.19%

* So if the PPP received only 70% of the Indian votes they would have received 44.19% of the overall votes.

* Remember in 2011 80% of Indians voted for the PPP---and the PPP received 48.6% of the overall votes.

QUESTION:

* Would the PPP have formed the government in 2011 with 44.19% of the votes ?

I do not give a damn about the past numbers except if there is a possibility that they lose another 11 or 12 percent and I want that to be evenly absorbed by the opposition parties That is doable. I do not want them to lose the government I want them to lose close to 2/3 majority. Only in such an arrangement will we get a better administration from either side.

MORE SIMPLE MATHEMATICS----The CUFFY LOVERS ARE CONFOUDED

* With 70% of the Indian votes---instead of the actual 80% the PPP received in 2011---they PPP received 4.41% less in the overall percentage.

* Remember with 80% Indian vote the PPP received 48.6% overall.

* And with 70% Indian vote the PPP would have received 44.19*

* So a 10% decrease in Indian votes would have caused the PPP to drop 4.41% in the overall votes(48.6% - 44.19% = 4.41%).

* Now let's assume that 4.41% was split equally between APNU and the AFC.

HERE IS WHAT THE FINAL RESULTS IN 2011 WOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE:

PPP 48.6% - 4.41% = 44.19%

PNC 40.8% + 2.20% = 43.00%

AFC 10.3% + 2.2% = 12.5%

CONCLUSION:

* Even if the PPP had received only 70% of the East Indian votes, they would have formed the government with 44.19% of the overall votes.

Stop grinning, manipulator.

Using your own numbers, with 44.19% of the overall votes the PPP would have secured only 29 seats in parliament.

With 43% the PNC would have won 28 seats.

And, with 12.5% the AFC would have earned 8 seats.

The combined opposition would have controlled 36 seats, 7 seats more than the PPP.

By the plurality principle the PPP would have formed the government, but could the PPP have governed?

If the PPP is presently getting bellyache with a 1-seat minority in parliament, imagine what it would have happened if it had a 7-seat shortage.

Would you still be grinning threefold?

gilbakka:

* Could the PPP have governed you ask ?

* THAT IS A DUMB QUESTION.

* You just saw Chief Justice Ian Chang's ruling regarding the budget.

* THE JOINT OPPOSITION---even though they are in the majority---they are POWERLESS in parliament.

* The Burnham constitution grants most of the power to the EXECUTIVE BRANCH.

* And chief justice Chang just ruled than even in the minority----the PPP still calls the shots.

* Listen gilbakka---encourage your boys in the PNC and AFC to form a coalition-----that is the only way a CUFFY could be president.

You are an idiot. The notion that the PPP is an oligarchy and not a democrat is long established in the record. This is   campaign to inform the people of their status of serfs.  It is a way to motivate them to seek peaceful ends to free themselves of the burden.

The PPP will lose. That is inevitable. The problem here is that these rules they hide behind, if the remain in place will be as onerous to them as they are to the opposition. In the interest of peaceful transformation the need for them is to wise up.

* The PPP's rule will one day end.

* BUT WHEN WILL THAT BE ?

* Surely not in 2016.

* You just saw the NUMBERS.

* The PPP could afford to lose an addition 10% of the Indian vote----they would still form the government.

* And the Burnham constitution gives the EXECUTIVE BRANCH enormous powers.

* Chief Justice Chang's ruling today on the budget shows how impotent the majority PNC/AFC opposition is in parliament.

* Listen Danyael! Unless there is a coalition between the PNC and AFC----the PPP will rule Guyana for another 100 years.

Whether the PNC and AFC are merged as currently; or officially merge for the next election; the PPP/C will win the next election with a majority of seats.

* The CUFFY LOVERS are mathematically inept.

* They are DIMWITS AND DULLARDS.

* All they are good at is whining and complaining and criticizing.

* They will never comprehend how the 48.6% actual percentage vote the PPP received in 2011 can be broken down, using assumptions based on census figures, to calculate the percentage of each ethnic group that voted for the PPP.

* Thanks to simple arithmetic---We now know that the PPP received 48.6% of the overall votes in 2011---and 80% of Indians voted for the PPP; 12% blacks voted for the PPP; 23% Mixed voted for the PPP and 69% Amerindians voted for the PPP.

ATTN LOYAL AND FAITHFUL PPP SUPPORTERS

* amral is thinking about retiring from the admin position in Political.

* As you are all aware amral has been very accommodating of the PPP's viewpoints on this forum.

* The Rev is supporting Raymond as the new admin.

* But we all know Raymond is a diehard PNC supporter.

* And that means us PPP supporters may have to be a tad more creative in describing ray and his fellow PNC/AFC supporters who are dying for a Mr. Granger to become president.

* Anyway, let's wait and see if Raymond is given the new job---then we'll push the envelope.

Rev

PS. I have also recommended yuji to be admin---ray will need a deputy admin.
