So why the delay yesterday and today ??? Answer: to give time for lawyers to get to a judge (Justice Holder) and get an injunction to stop the recount of votes agreed by the leaders of the two main parties, GECOM and CARICOM Secretariat !!! How could this be in a civilized country ... injunction granted ex-parte to boot ... the fight continues !!!!

U.S. warns of ‘serious consequences’ if Gov’t is formed from electoral fraud

0

The United States Government on Tuesday increased pressure for there to be a credible and transparent vote count in Guyana from the March 2 elections, warning of serious consequences if a Government is formed based on electoral fraud.

“It’s important to note that the individuals who seek to benefit from electoral fraud and form illegitimate governments – regimes – will be subject to a variety of serious consequences from the United States,” said Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary of State. He was speaking at a press briefing Tuesday.

He said the United States is closely monitoring the tabulation of votes here and joins with the OAS, the Commonwealth, the European Union, CARICOM and other democratic partners in calling for an accurate count.

“We commend CARCIOM’s role in seeking a swift democratic resolutionâ€Ķ,” Pompeo stated.

A high-level team from CARICOM arrived in Guyana last Saturday night to supervise a national recount after opposition parties and international and local observers denounced thevote count for Region Four, saying numbers were jacked up in favour of the APNU+AFC Coalition and that the vote count did not follow a clear court order for the Statements of Poll from the Region to be displayed so that all stakeholders could see.

President David Granger, Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo and the CARICOM Secretary-General have signed the agreement to allow the CARICOM High-Level team to supervise a national recount, but the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM), which had already agreed to the exercise, has now said it wants to get legal advice first before it proceeds.

Understand this. Many conspirators in the GPF, GECOM, business have crossed into the dark side with their PNC friends.  There is no going back.  They can be arrested and tried for treason.  They are on the brink with nothing to lose.

If the US decides to turn the screws, the Coalition will fracture and you will see dissent in the ranks and possibly armed confrontation!

The PNC will lose as the world community will not tolerate the triumph of hooligans over the rule of law.

BREAKING: High Court injunction blocks recount

High Court Judge Franklyn Holder has granted an injunction blocking a national recount of votes cast on March 02, 2020.

President David Granger, Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo and the CARICOM Secretariat had agreed to a national recount of all votes with a CARICOM high-level team to supervise the process. But Justice Holder also granted an injunction to block the recount until the matter is heard on Friday.

The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM), which had agreed to the recount, on Tuesday said it was awaiting legal advice. Up to press time, GECOM had not said if it received that advice.

The News Room will update this story as more information becomes available.

Court Order notes the following. Looks like CARICOM officials will be returning home:

1. GECOM is barred from substituting the declaration of the Returning Officers of Region 1 -10 with any other vote count or declaration.

2. The Chief Elections Officer is barred from submitting a report to the Commission with the elections results using any other information or documents except the information and documents submitted to him by the ROs of the ten Regions.

3. GECOM is barred from using any other information or documents or to make a declaration of the election results except that which was declared and submitted to GECOM by the ROs from the ten Regions.

4. GECOM is barred from proceeding with the recount agreed to by President David Granger, Bharrat Jagdeo and Caricom.

5. GECOM may only declare the elections results of the elections and name the winner in accordance with the declarations of the RO’s of the ten regions.

When a judge grants PPP lawyers an injunction it is fine:when a judge grants the Coalition an injunction it is a travesty.  And some people expect others to take them seriously when they claim they are fighting for justice.  Have you been watching/reading what Coalition supporters are saying on other fora?  Have a look --it may open your eyes and even your minds.

If the injunction granted by High Court Judge Franklyn Holder is upheld, it begs the question on the process/suggestions for the pending recount.

Overall though, the issue for the proper tabulation of Region 4 remains in conflict with the method used for the other nine Regions.

The Coalition won the election narrowly despite PPP jiggery pokery.  Bharrat Jagdeo is surrounded by a bunch of crooks and he, Bharrat, lies with a straight face. They spent hundreds of millions of illegal campaign contributions bribing people, distributing fake IDs, hiring a firm specializing in misinformation etc.  Despite all this the Coalition won.

CARICOM team leaving as court order blocks recount

The CARICOM high-level team that was due to oversee a recount of votes cast at the March 2 elections has decided to call it quits and will today depart Guyana as a court order today blocked the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) from proceeding although both President David Granger and Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo agreed to the process, sources this afternoon confirmed.
