Air Supply - "Even the Nights Are Better"
When I first came to Canada in 1980, Air Supply was one of the first band that I got hooked on. I started to buy their LP's as fast as they release them.

I spent the summers of 73,74, 75 in Toronto and started living there in june 76. We used to listen to CHUM FM on our boom boxes. I used to like a hokey band called the Bay City Rollers, Neil Diamond, Queen Burton Cummings etc. It was also the middle of the Disco craze so the BGees was also big. As Kids we were mall rats. I guess it was because

The early 80's for me was populated with Euro Rock, pencil bottomed jeans, and skinny ties. In DC we used to hang out at a club called Cafe Med (83) and that is all they played. I also hang out at the Library, the Plum, Black Tahiti and a bunch more. With the exception of Black Tahiti they were all clones. It was pure bubble gum rock but I cant say we had much in our heads then either.
Of course the 930 Club was a different beast all together ( punk rock at 930 f street) We always came out of that place bruised up from the violence in slam dancing. I hated it but went for the girls!

In my opinion, the BG's sucked big time when that disco change, that's just my opinion. I couldn't get into the disco thing.

to political commentary by public enemy
