That list that has been circulating on facebook (I believe I saw it here on GNI too). It  is very specific with names, dates of the killings and addresses of the individuals killed under the PPP tenure. The PPP’s response has been that its not all Africans, but there are many Indians on that list too...well duh! 

Be that as it may...the fact remains that even if its less than that (say 100):

a) many people were killed (Afros and Indos) in an atmosphere which the PPP lost control  b) there were many high profile killings (Waddle, Sawh, etc), all of which remain unsolved, but took place under the PPP watch

c) there was clear evidence (newspaper ad by RK, Ramsammy signature, court testimony in US trial of RK) which point to collusion between a drug lord and the PPP government. 

Its not enough to simply say that the government was defenseless, and could not protect businessmen who were being killed. 

But this is the point that you and the other KNUCKLEHEADS here are missing: whether this is true or not, or whether the numbers are less or more, the opposition has successfully tagged the PPP administration with this stain...which the PPP will not be able to erase from the minds of Afros...despite all the Afros Jagdeo kiss from not till Election Day. 

Here is another consequence of this...the chickens have come home to roost...Afros did not then, and will not now vote for the PPP, especially with this “record” hanging over the heads of PPP leaders.

But the real problem for the PPP is this...I have said it before...if you combine all of this...there is no way that Afros will allow the PPP (in its current form and leadership) to rule that country given how they perceive the current leadership (unprofessional, criminal, racists, uncouth, corrupt...take your pick)....I am saying that from my conversation with Guyanese, many Afros feel justified today in closing their eyes to any wrongdoing the current PNC is engaged in because they see the PPP as more evil...

Another thing....you are smart enough  to understand this...even if the PPP win, they will not be able to govern effectively...they dont control the army, police, Georgetown, etc...

The PPP will resort to its role of playing the victim....”we wuz robbed of the election”, “we were cheated”...

The solution?   Indos (at least some of them) have to vote for the coalition (because progress is being made)  so that development continues. AND, in the next 5 years while the PPP is in opposition, there has to be a rebellion from within after this election to remove the likes of baldy, fat boy, goat man, Beri Beri, Jagdeo gon slap you, dem rape me....

Nothing to do with any 'record' that is hanging over the heads of PPP leaders. Blacks were always very tribal and voted almost 100% with the mostly black PNC. No one is foolishly hoping for them to change something so deeply engrained in their DNA.

a) many people were killed (Afros and Indos) in an atmosphere which the PPP lost control  b) there were many high profile killings (Waddle, Sawh, etc), all of which remain unsolved, but took place under the PPP watch

The same two names regurgitated all the time. Shows much laziness in coming up with the list of 400 names. Looks like an effort to move the goalpost to 100 instead of 400 now. 

Whats your threshold?  100?  200? 400? 

Throw in Crum Ewing in there....that alone makes it 3 prominent ones...no?

Maybe it was a Coalition operative who killed Crum Ewing so they can rile up racial tensions against the PPP.

I can't for the life of me see the PPP killing Crum Ewing because he was protesting Anil's foul language that was bad for his girl children to hear furthermore he was protesting that his friend Shegobin cannot find a job.  Did the collation kill this man to motivate their supporters for the upcoming election?

you people are running with the belief that because the government could not control the spread of violence (and that is their own fault) and Indo businessmen were being killed, it was justified for the government to  deal with the problems (they refuse to modify the police and they refused help from the DEA) by seek help from a drug lord....total BS....

Whether people were terrorists or “freedom fighters” (regardless of what they were called), certainly not all of them deserve that kind of death....even terrorists are tried in courts....
