Time up.

A long time ago a sloop named Dauntless  ran aground off the eastern shore of Leguan. It was abandoned there. Over time silt built up around and on top the Dauntless and an island was formed. Seeds from bird droppings and from flotsam washed up on the island and trees grew up to a height of 30-40 feet. Tides deposited more silt and the island expanded until it eventually merged with Leguan.

That island was called Dauntless, which is now an integral part of Leguan.

Dauntless is now like a forest. Look at this map, the green triangular end on the right side of Leguan.
