Rest in Eternal Peace to my loving Cousin Vishnu Valmiki Krishna Chowbay LLB Barrister-at-Law lovingly known as Vish and Val to his colleagues in the Legal Fraternity..

Vish was a Brilliant Lawyer and was known to tackle and win the most difficult cases.

Vish passed away peacefully yesterday at Etobicoke General Hospital. He was a loving Father to Shaun, Mark and Natasia. Deepest Condolences to my cousins his sisters Gaitri and Latchmi. Deepest Condolences to Sandra and the entire family.

Thanks to my Uncle Chet Sharma and Aunty Baminee Sharma for your loving support to our family always and especially at this difficult time. Vish was like a big brother to me protecting me when I was a young child.

He walked me to school from my grandmother's home everyday. He once pushed me out the way of an oncoming car and saved me from harm. He sustained injuries and for this I am forever grateful.

I will miss our conversations and your jokes. Rest in Peace and always know you will always have a special place in my heart.

Kwaku died last nite in Long Island hospitaL..he was 67 yrs old.

Reggie Yong, former teacher at StMary’s Primary Sch , Camp St n Brickdam . He was a close friend of mine ..RIP Reg..will miss u n I am sure that the black cake ( my xmas gift) u left for me will b the best Ive ever tasted !

Not sure if many of you knew but I met him through some mutual GNI friends and just found out he passed away.

I believe he was a professor in a San Diego University.

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our young daughters. Anita Persaud Samaroo age 51 passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 10th in Toronto Canada. Anita was born in Leonora Seafield WCD.

She was the daughter of the late Raddha and Baboo(Gaj- Carpenter) Granddaughter of Mulaiya. Brother of Chris Persaud. Funeral arrangements will take place in Toronto.  Because of Covid19 regulations only Family members will be allowed for visitation.

Gaytri 60 years old, passed in early morning of October 15th in Toronto Canada. She was the Daughter of Lul and Koja Formerly of Seafield, Leonora.

Because of Covid19 Regulations NO Public Wake or Funeral will be held. Family members Only to be in Attendance.

Gaytri ..One of Our Mascots at Leonora events... Gaytri Your short presence has enhanced many lives and benefited those you served in the community and beyond. Your selfless services to our community will forever be felt as you were always there when called upon. You stood up when necessary, spoke your mind never holding back...You will dearly be missed..Our Condolences to your Sons and the Koja Families. May God always be in your shadows.
