Not sure if many of you knew but I met him through some mutual GNI friends and just found out he passed away.
I believe he was a professor in a San Diego University.
Kwaku died last nite in Long Island hospitaL..he was 67 yrs old.

A Nabaclis man who was trapped in a fire, succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Phineas Headley of Lot 63 Section âCâ, Nabaclis, East Coast Demerara.
A police report stated that Headley, who relatives said suffered from a mental disorder, resided in a one-storey wooden house that did not have electricity.
It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our young daughters. Anita Persaud Samaroo age 51 passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 10th in Toronto Canada. Anita was born in Leonora Seafield WCD.
She was the daughter of the late Raddha and Baboo(Gaj- Carpenter) Granddaughter of Mulaiya. Brother of Chris Persaud. Funeral arrangements will take place in Toronto. Because of Covid19 regulations only Family members will be allowed for visitation.

Gaytri 60 years old, passed in early morning of October 15th in Toronto Canada. She was the Daughter of Lul and Koja Formerly of Seafield, Leonora.
Because of Covid19 Regulations NO Public Wake or Funeral will be held. Family members Only to be in Attendance.
Gaytri ..One of Our Mascots at Leonora events... Gaytri Your short presence has enhanced many lives and benefited those you served in the community and beyond. Your selfless services to our community will forever be felt as you were always there when called upon. You stood up when necessary, spoke your mind never holding back...You will dearly be missed..Our Condolences to your Sons and the Koja Families. May God always be in your shadows.
