We creolized English words. Over the years I figured out some tough ones but can't remember them now, here are a few:

well I look at shows on Zee Tv /Sony n Colors..n I keep hearing some of these words like

pusr pusr —-whispering ( I rem we were 4 gal pickney sleeping in 1 bed n night time we would talk quietly.  My Ma used to say “Ayo only pusr pusr in deh, ayo want me come wid d belt..guh sleep”

eg Gynese say ‘larki’ for girl

but it is spelt ladki in hindi

Also, kichidi (hindi) but we say ‘kichrie’

or ‘kadahi’ .. we say ‘ karahi’

@Lynn, you got it right. That sound does not exist in English. I write 'R' so that make the palatal sound, that is the tongue touching the top of the mouth. So Larki wound sound lardki...

The Hindi sound for व in Devanagari is between V and W —a voiced labiodental, the bottom lip + top teeth. It also differs by regions. Some also pronounces it as B... Bishnu for Vishnu, Bindravan for Vindravan
